I am backing up a little, on dates. This was June 17th.

Well, this morning I worked for Door Dash until 4:30pm. Then Jeanne wanted to drive over to Gilbert Ford and take a look at the F150's they have in stock. So we got there around 5pm. The nice thing was they were closed and not one salesman came out to see what we were doing there.
So, after looking, and saying how can anyone buy a truck for $60,000? Oh well, it was fun looking. So while here we drove over to Lake Okeechobee. That is what these pictures below are of.

This is one of the boat ramps that are on this side of the lake.

I took some pictures of the landscape that is around the lake here.

Drove over to the dock area. Took a little walk around to see different things here.

While walking up the ramp to go to the dock, Jeanne saw this raven. Wow, he or she is sure beautiful.

We got there this gentleman was pulling in a catfish.

Just looking how beautiful the lake looked. The last time I was here with Roy. The lake was on the low side. I don't think the water was under the dock itself? It was a dry time of the year then. Oh, why was Roy and I here? Well back then I use to drive over here to get parts for our customers. The place is called Mobile Home Depot. We didn't know about the mobile home supply house in Vero Beach. The sad part. that store closed up a about a year or so up.
Okay back to why we are just chilling here. The breeze was fantastic. So, we sat there for about half an hour or so.

I think while sitting there, this guy catches 4 Catfish. Very nice. I think I shared last week about our time out in the boat and only catching Catfish.
Okay time is winding down. We need to get going south now. Get a couple of hot dogs at Dune Dogs and then go check out the pinball arcade, down in Jensin Beach area.

Wow this sure was beautiful to see on our way there. I think these are oak trees? Jeanne wanted to drive so, I just sat back and enjoyed the ride.

Got here and was looking forward in getting their Chicago Hotdog.

Behind the restaurant there is this creek. Its kind a nice?

We have been here many times. I think I wrote about this place before. But this evening I want a Chicago Hotdog. Jeanne got the fish dinner.

We both got our food and it was okay. I guess the last place I had a GOOD, Chicago Hotdog was at
Pusater's Chicago Pizza Restaurant, right down the road, in downtown Jensen Beach. That was the place my baby asked if we should go? The reason I told her, let's try Dune Dogs. They hotdogs always taste great. Oh well, now we know for sure where to go for that Chicago Hotdog.

Okay back to the story about going to the pinball arcade.

Got here and walked in and Jeanne loved this place.

I took a couple of shots of the place, and I hear Jeanne say, maybe we should come back during the week, they might not play their music so loud?
So, we left and headed back home. I know we will be back here one of these days.
Got home and it was pretty much bedtime already.

Pastor Craig, he is doing the Father's Day message this morning. It sure was nice to come to church and see some of our old friends. It has been a while since we got up this way. We watch it online most Sundays. We were very pleasantly surprised. Pastor Craig's message was on King David. In1Samuel 20:42 At last Jonathan said to David, "Go in peace, for we have made a PACT in the Lord's Name. We have entrusted each other and each other's children into the Lord's hands forever."
2 Samuel 4:4 Saul's son Jonathan had named him Mephibosheth who was crippled as a child. He was five years old when Saul and Jonathan were killed at the battle of Jezreel. In 2 Samuel 9 tells of what David did for him. 9:6 His name Mephibosheth, he was Jonathan's son and Saul's grandson. 7 "But David said, don't be afraid I've asked you to come that I can be kind to you because of my vow to your father Jonathan. I will give you all the land that once belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you may live here with me in the palace!"
Listening to this and thinking, that is a very close friend and if I had children, wow would I make a pact like that with?
Folks this last week Jeanne had her surgery, and all went well.
So now what does she do? She wants to bake. two weeks before, she made cinnamon rolls and then made sticking buns. After all that, made bread putting. Yesterday she made chocolate chip cookies.
So, she has been trying to stay busy and loves it.
I pray that today is the day you are seeking Him and He is right there next to you. Please ask Jesus into your heart, we never know when we might take our final breather.

These last couple of weeks, we have been going out in the boat. It really is Monday morning June 26th. I started this on Saturday and finished it up this morning.

To go out, we need to bring some things. Fishing poles and tackle, plus. So, after we are loaded up. Now I have been started up the motor. I put the mouse ears on the bottom of the motor shaft. Then start her up. The reason is, our first time out in two years. We brought it to the boat ramp and put it in the water and the battery was dead. So I just want to make sure she is ready to hit the water and run. Plus, we check the lights on the trailer. You know turn signals, brake lights and lights themselves.
So getting ready tpo go out, takes about an hour of so to be ready to drive off.

These two pictures are us going out from the boat ramp to the inter coastal.

I think this was the only day we went out in the ocean. The reason we ride up to the Jetty and take a look at how rough the ocean is or not.  We got out there about three miles, off the shore. I think we fished for about four hours or so. Really didn't catch any fish, but it was a joy for my little girl to be out there. This is her happy place. She just loves the freedom and the smell of the ocean. Plus, I really think she loves the water coming over the bow too. The water splashing in her face bring a big smile on her face every time.

We are on our way in now. The motor is running beautifully. She can get it up to 32 miles a hour.
It does feel neat to have this power and be able to just enjoy the view and the smell of the ocean.

This day we went to the Jetty and found that it was very rough out in the ocean. So, we headed north towards Vero Beach.  Myself I just enjoy riding on the inter coastal. It really is a beautiful time to look around and see the wake behind. It brings back beautiful memories when we (my dad and I) use to ride in a small 14-foot aluminum boats. We would rent the boat when my family would go on vacation up in the Adirondack Mountains. My dad would always bring his 7.5 Scott out board motor. Plus 10-gallon gas tank. This way just rent the boat for that week or whatever time we had for our vacation.
Use to love going to Tupper Lake. Black Lake. Honey Eye Lake, this lake was about hour away. The other ones were about 4 to 6 hours away. But I can tell you this, I remember those days and how much fun we, as a family would enjoy our time together. My fondest memories. We never did own a boat. But back then it was very common to go to these cabins and they would always have one to rent.
I think I was 11 or maybe 12, my dad would let me go out by myself in the boat and go fishing. I remember this one time. I caught a Walleye. It was at Tupper Lake. I was toiling along and got this bite, and he was mine. I pulled into the dock and saw my dad was in the bar we use to stop at for dinner. He was playing cards and I was so excited to show him. He came down to the dock and I think he was very proud of me.

Sorry about my squirrels. Yes, I have squirrels. What do I mean by that? I start thinking of things and go down the rabbit trail. But the name squirrel, I was told about three years ago. Well, let me back up a little. Back then, Jeanne was getting worried about how I would lose a thought. She would ask if I was okay? I would say sure, I just forgot something. Okay so we saw a doctor that would have me get a cat scan and do all kinds of memory tests. Like she would read me a story and ask me to try to tell her the story back to her.  At the end of my time with her, doctor. She came to the conclusion, I have squirrels. Now think how you see a squirrel run here and there. Then goes back. It makes sense to me. So, where am I going with this? Last week we went to see another doctor that deals with memories. So, I did the three-hour test with this young lady, named Karen. Then we sat down with a computer and had a Skype conversation with their doctor there. I guess it went okay. I really didn't like the Skype call. The reason was she would ask me question and I would answer her. Really no personal contact. Walked away and thought, I didn't do as good as I did three years ago.
BUT WHO IS IN CONTROL ANYWAY? JESUS CHRIST MY LORD I TRUST. WITH EVERYTHING THAT IS IN MY LIFE.
But in Sept. Jeanne and I have appointment with the doctor that set up my testing and will go over the results and compare with my test back three years ago.
Okay back to what, were we talking about? JUST JOKING.

Today my little girl is having surgery on her right hand. Please say a prayer or two. for her. I know she has been having a lot of trouble with it and every night we go to bed; it is hurting her more and more.
For now, the boat will be staying on the trailer until her hand is healed up and ready to go again.
 PLEASE KEEP HER IN PRAYER.
I will keep you all in the loop.

Do a little fixing on the wet wells, on the boat.

Before I buffed these out, there was a lot of drips of fiber glass and paint that dripped into the holes.

I found this (want to be) Drema and sanded the chips off and it worked great for a $6.99 investment from Harbor Freight a few years ago. I used to have a original Drema. But I brought to the Bahamas when I left to stay there.

There are two of these wet wells on our boat. This is where we store the fish after we have caught them. Plus use them for some of the bait we caught while we are out in the boat.
Oh, what was the problem with the holes? The plugs just would not seal properly.

This one of the covers for them, this way you don't fall into them during your time walking on the boat.
As this day, is Wednesday morning. Jeanne and I were out yesterday on her and the plugs all held. No water came in at all. The reason is pretty simple, when the wet wells are full of sea water, it weights the boat, and it is harder on the motor and just slows us down.
We are taking a day off going out. Jeanne has therapy 8am and then 12 noon needs to get her blood tested.
On Monday coming, she is getting her right hand operated on. She has been having a lot of trouble with both of them. It's not Carpal Tunnel. But something else. She was told that he (doctor) would be pulling a bone out of her right hand and repairing with something else. I am sorry but I have not been going with her to this doctor. Oh, I was there but sat in the waiting room. So, I will be keeping you in the loop on this next week. If you think of her, please say a prayer or two for her.
This is why we have been going out so much. Prayerfully we will be going on tomorrow and Friday too.

These are some pictures of the last couple of our trips out.
What a beautiful riding girl. The engine is purring like a kitten.
We are using ETHEL FREE GAS.
Oh when we first were setting the boat up. Jeanne had a guy remake the gas tank. He believes it hold 150+ gallons now. There was a gas tank on the boat before. But it had some troubles with the valves and lines going and coming. So, while Rogar was rebuilding the boat, he hooked us up with a tank builder. He built it and put it in. Rogar covered it up and now we have plenty of gas, plus the cost too. I think when we filled it up, it cost over $600.00. $3.99 a gallon. I think, we have been out on her, about 6 maybe even 7 times. Still have a little more than a half of a tank full.
The gas tanks we used before were two 24 tanks that sat on top of the deck and got in our way all the time.
We are very thankful for all the work that was done on her. It sure nice to go out and not worry about running out and like I said the motor is purring.

I have another work project ahead of me.

Many years ago, I guess Bubba (Jeanne's hubby) He must have bought these then? I found them while I was cleaning out the back shed at our old house, (2709 27th street) This was done about two years ago, while moving to our new home. here. Well, I think these will help us get the boat on the trailer much easier. This way we can guild the boat in in the middle of the trailer and load her up.

Alright I found some trailer wire in the shed too. So, I stored it in our here. We are all set to hook everything up and get it done.
I have thew wire stung and ready to hook up to the lights, turn signals and brake lights.

WHY WOULD THERE BE TWO (2) BROWN WIRES IN THIS SET?????
Man, I tried wiring them up and just kept having no lights. The brown wire is confusing me BIG TIME. I think I wasted more than two hours trying to get it to work.
I drove over to the Trailer Supply Store. Got four wire that was four different colors. Man, wire prices have gone up too.
Rewired with the new wire.

I didn't take a picture of the new wire. I am being lazy, I have it out in the shed, just don't feel like walking out there to get it.
I got up this morning and just wanted to show you the difference.

Wow, they work and ready to show them to my wifey. She came out and looked and asked me why are they so low? I told her I thought, that would be, okay? NOT?
So I rewired them and two more hours later. All done. Meanwhile, My Ranger, has a blown head gasket. I will explain down a ways.

You can see the sun is going down now. Okay she came out and loved them. They work and everyone is happy now. I was inpressed how nice they look and work too.

Okay now this problem I have on my little truck. About three months or so. My truck was overheating. I would check for water leaks under her. Nothing at all. Where is the antifreeze going to?
I check driving her and putting water in and checking each time I drove her. No water. I took it over to get a new gas pump on her. It has been giving me some trouble starting her. It would take three times to start up. So I took it over to TR Garage. It is Fort Pierce (Downtown) Dropped it off and asked him, to check and do a pressure test on the radiator. He put in a new gas pump and tested the pressure and could not find any leaks. So after paying him $1151.00 for the work he did. I open the hood and pulled the dip stick and found water in the oil. He must have pushed the pressure and made the hole a little bigger in the head gasket. I have used this before and it worked for a little while, that was many years ago, on another Ranger I had. Okay, I think I paid $50.00 at Advance Auto. I put this in while working on the boat trailer. It needs to be put in and run for a hour at idle speed.

Okay finished the trailer and walked over and turn the engine off and went in and cleaned up and had dinner.
Greta day, got some big projects done and very happy.
Have a WONDERFUL FATHER'S DAY.

I had a opportunity to help out my cousin.

It has been a while since I have trimmed and cleaned out her gutters too.  Oh, the reason I am here now is because Jeanne and her sisters pl...
