This tent belongs to Connie and her hubby Butch, They have been selling a variety of orchids and different kinds of plants for many years. Now I am not sure how long they have been at the Farmer's Market. The reason why we know Connie and Butch, this was Jeanne's mom best friends. She is Koren and Connie has been over to our home a couple of times. Most times are to bring us some kind of Koren food. Plus, she has dropped off different kinds of plants too.
So, every time we come here, we stop by and say hello and most times, Jeanne buys something. This day, she bought three orchids. Two for her fellow workers. They are moving on to other schools. Jeanne would like to give them something as a parting gift. I know, she has become good friends with both of them. I guess the third orchid was a gift from Connie to Jeanne. Every time Jeanne buys something there, Connie loves to give her something else.
This is where the band sets up and plays for the crowds. Every weekend someone new has a change to play here. Today I could hear them playing some oldies. It really is enjoyable to hear as you walk around the market. They are on break now. But you can see how people bring their own chairs and sit there and just relax and enjoy them.
The inter coastal was beautiful today. Nice and calm and skyline was relaxing just enough sun to keep from getting sunburn, I hope? I put sunscreen on, but you never know.
Do you see the orange tent here? They sell Baltimore Crabs and food from that area. Every time we come down here, I see them and think about my friends back in Baltimore.
Just around the corner there is a new tent, proclaiming they have food from Maryland. CRABCAKES. Wow that is not very nice to have your competition right next to your tent.
The funny thing is, Jeanne or I have never eaten at ether tent. Their prices are crazy high, and I am not to much on eating crabcakes either.
Jeanne has been talking about how hungry she is getting. So, she stopped here and asked if I would like something? I told her I will wait until we get back home. So, she went over and ordered a crepe. I think she ordered egg, bacon and sausage. She got it and walked over to the waterfront where I was sitting and sat down. She was checking out the crepe, she noticed how runny the eggs were. She took is back and asked for her money back. She was talking with one of the workers there and she felt like they really didn't care about the way she wanted her crepe. So, that didn't make her happy at all. No need to eat something you are not happy with. Plus, after that she told me the story.
I totally understand.
From here we drove over to Chic and Shore. I have written about this place before. Has all kinds of neat things in the store and we usually buy something there. But we walked out without buying anything.
Then one more stop. Antique store on the way home. Didn't buy anything there.
Well, that was a nice time and just enjoying looking around.
Older I get the more I think about what have I done to bring people to closer to Jesus Christ?
Then I look back and say everything is in His hands and I am only His servant.
So, I ask, how can I serve Jesus Christ more today?
