As I was saying yesterday.

This is a free little paper that comes out each week. It is telling us about a, Kiss From God. The real neat thing is people around here still have that kind of faith and even share it. Thank you Lord.

You need to check this blog out.
                                                      http://sandinmysandles.blogspot.com
This is a friend of mine that still lives in the Bahamas. Her name is Jen Rogers.
She is a missionary that has been there for about 5 years? Not really sure time just flies by any more. But please check out her blog. It shows how the Bahamian people were told how bad it would be. You know like everything will be destroyed. Pretty scary stuff.
Plus the time Mark Wallace had to spend with the Prime Minister.
God is sure good, ALL THE TIME. GOD IS GOOD.
Our prayers are still being heard.

I had a chance to take a ride with Roy, (my neighbor)

As I know you are aware that Hurricane Matthew came through our area last Thursday night. Well this area is called Vero Beach Board Walk. It is just a little ways north of the main beach area. That would be where Mulligan's Restaurant.

You can see how much of the sand has been washed away.

These guys are my neighbors, Pat and Roy. Roy and I drove to the Orlando Airport to pick his wife up. She went away for a week to Long Island. There she witness her grand daughter Christening. That is when the baby got baptized. Well as we were driving back home. Roy through, let us see how the board walk made it through the storm?

As we are driving away. I took a bunch of pictures of how the sand is all washed away. I know they are going to repair it by refilling the sand in and maybe even rebuild the board walk?
We were sure blessed for that storm could have came in 10 miles and there would have been much more damaged.

We are so BLESSED. It you remember how the weathermen and women said, the storm has been bumped to the east. Here is a picture of that BUMP.
Thank you LORD.
Thank you Jon for this great drawing.

I saw this a little while back.

Is this not true? How many times we tells others how much God Loves Us? Then we look at our relationship's and say ad least we are trying.
Oh know for myself, how He does love me.

Well back here again. Dart Night

We have not started our teams yet. Tonight was a light night for people coming out. Not sure why? Maybe some are still away.

These are the rules on what and how to score with darts games.

You can see I am signed up. Name is spelled wrong, that probability is me. But ad least on the broad. If we get a couple of more people, we can start our own team up. The reason I am not in yellow is, had not paid for the membership yet. I paid last night.
Folks I told you yesterday about the Adventure Learning Centre, I really am asking for prayer for all the teams that and are going over these next couple of weeks.
Plus funds to make sure they can rebuild the fences and what ever else is needed. I have been praying about going over to help out, but not at this time. Maybe in Dec or so? I just want God to guide my steps and give me that peace of mind. As for now I will do my best to help with shopping and whatever else is needed for them at this time.
Like I said Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, Fl is sending over two groups. One this week-end and the other next week-end. I know God has His hand on them and they will get back up and running in these next weeks.
Praise HIM.

Folks I am mistaking. Didn't know about the damage there was done at the Adventure Learning Centre.

As I open my mail this morning I see and my heart breaks. The property is damage and they are pretty much shut down until they clean up and fix the fences and pretty many things. There is a video you can see. I am trying everything to get it on this blog. But I guess it is to long? Not really sure what is happening.
I got the e mail to copy, but not sure about the video? Please folks if you can help in any way. Prayer is the first thing we need to do. Is thank The Lord for everyone safety and PROVIDE FOR THEM THE NEXT STEPS.

Hurricane Matthew Relief
You Can Help Get Ministry Going Again at ALC&C!

Disaster has struck the Bahamas, but even as we see the damage, we see the graciousness of God.  It could have been a lot worse.  In fact, warnings and forecasts predicted higher rain totals and higher storm surges impacting the southern coast at the time of high tide, both of which would have been devastating for ALC&C and the residents of New Providence.  Providentially, rain totals were not as high as expected and the storm surge happened at low tide.

Despite the good news, ALC&C has suffered dramatic damage to both the Centre and the Camp. The damage is not only impactful in terms of cost of materials and labor, it is also impactful in that until we get the repairs done, we are going to be unable to continue the ministry work we do here in the Bahamas. Not to mention the loss of "income" as we are not going to be able to bring in mission teams to the Camp or children to the Centre until clean-up and repairs are made.

Many have been in contact with us already and have asked us what they can do.  Here are a few suggestions.

DONATE:   Donate to ALC&C's Hurricane Matthew Relief Fund

WATCH VIDEO:   Watch the impactful video of Hurricane Matthew's aftermath at ALC&C

KEEP UP TO DATE ON FACEBOOK:  Adventure Learning Centre and Camp

PRAY:  Please keep us in your prayers.  Prayer is needed more than anything else.  We need God all the time, but in times like these, we seem to need Him more.  Please pray for wisdom and discernment during this assessment phase and then the eventual clean-up phase.

COME SERVE:  Consider coming to help with clean-up and repair. There is a large need for laborers.

Cleaning (lots!)
Clear brush
Run chain saw
Clean-up garbage
Roofers
Construction help (siding/soffit/fascia work, build kitchen cabinets, mason/cement work, fence repair)

As we conclude, we would like to ask you to please be in prayer not only for the resources and strength to rebuild and repair our ministry but also for those who are suffering human losses at this time.  Our fellow Caribbeans in Haiti have had many fatalities. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all at this time.

Thank you in advance for prayerfully considering how you can help us get ministry going again here at Adventure Learning Centre and Camp!

This was such a beautiful day, Sunday.

After church I drove over to the Jetty. I parked my truck and just went for a bicycle ride. It was beautiful outside. Nice breeze and just a great day.
If you have seen my blog before, I took some pictures of this before.

You can see the difference. back then no sand across the walkway.

I rode down a little ways and stopped by and just started to go out to the water's edge and just didn't think it would be smart to go on in. Rip tides are happening.

But you can see some people really don't care. They want to do something and just go out and do it. Not sure if it is smart???

Okay remember what the parking lot looked like during church on Sunday? Well this is around 2;00 pm or so,Sunday afternoon. Where are the cars?
I rode by this place a couple of times, that is why there are different pictures going different ways.
I parked my BIKE. Ha,Ha,Ha. Walked in and just walked around looking for some of the guys I thought would be there. But they weren't. I even text Doug asking him. He wrote back and said he forgot all about it and they were out already riding.

It really was a jumping place. The band was all rock and roll.

If you look at a few pictures above. There was only one guy hand surfing. But now look. The place is going crazy. It really neat to see how these guys and girls, just grab a hold and ride on the wind.
man the weather is so beautiful and just inviting. Thank you Lord for Your safety and providing such great weather.

It is Sunday. Where did you go to church?

Well the stage is a little but bigger. That right, I am at Archie's. This is where Pastor David has church. I have been here a couple of other times. I like the surroundings.

I guess David and his crew sat down and made up a praise song for this place. It really cause me to stomp my foot and just get excited.

Then you can see, we sang this song too. It reworded a little different But it was a praise song too.
I guess we can pretty much take a old rock and roll song and add Christ to it and it is some what neat to sing. We all know the beat.

This is Pastor Bob, he is the one that does the teachings. He is in the book of 1 Corinthians 1:Chapter #2. This is one of the areas that Paul speaks about WISDOM. Verse #9, That is what the Scripture means when they say: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him. Then afterwards Pastor David closes it out.

You can see there is a pretty good group of folks here. Now maybe not all of them are here for the service? But it sure good to see how many do come out.

You will see tomorrow's blog is what happen afterward the service.
Archie's every year has a thing called HOG WILD.
Guess what that might mean?

I have a prayer request. Friends of mine back in the Bahamas.

As you know I am part of a family over for the last 6 years. Their names are Tim and Felicia. As Hurricane Matthew made his way through Nassau, Bahamas. There was some damage done to their home. All I am asking for is prayer for them and others that have had damage done to their homes and business. We have not heard that much about how the Bahamas did during the storm. But I know of a couple of friends I have over there, have roof damage. So please keep them in your prayers. I know through out the world we are hearing story after story about Haiti and the Haitian people and all they are going through.
Folks our time on this earth is getting shorter an shorter. He (Jesus) is trying to get a hold of people's hearts and souls. So PLEASE if you think of all that is going on around us. It is to bring Glory to HIM.
Keep all these thing in prayer and let us see what happens next. We all know that His return is right around the corner.

Just driving around the park.

I saw maybe eight to ten trees down. Nothing to big.

I have a friend and she has these on her home too. There really is no way to take them down and hook them to the windows. I guess they are just for looks and maybe shade in the home.

It looks like someone used a can opener and pealed it back.

No one is home here yet.

Here are a couple of more carports that got damaged.

As I was looking at our neighbors clam shells hurricane shutters.

I saw when they put them up they missed the main supports. Not sure how that happens. Well ad least for now Jimmie's place is some what security.

Large tree down in the little round about.
Over all the park did well. I was riding around last night and heard some generators running in peoples driveways. I guess they still don't have electric. I was talking with a friend that has a house down about a mile off the main road. Jon, He still doesn't have power. I received a message from Florida Power and Light yesterday, saying by Sunday evening pretty much everyone should have their electric back on.
This is all about His GRACE. It could have been sooooo MUCH Worst. But His race saved our butts again. The sad part is maybe the next one might not be so good?
Are you going to church today, to THANK HIM?

It sure good to be back home.

Well I have been watching all the weather channels and news. My area should be okay to go back. I texted a couple of neighbors. Pat called me (neighbor) she was still away, told me she called the police department to see if it is okay to come back. So I ventured out around 9:45 am and said my good byes to Bonita.
It is raining a little bit. But looking forward in seeing if my home is still there?

This is along route 60. You can see people are still people, passing each other. We are traveling at 65 miles a hour. I guess they have some place to be at?

Driving down 60 towards Vero Beach. The lights are out all the way down. The real neat thing is, the main traffic lights there are police officers directing traffic.

It was good to see even at the lights that are not to busy. There are no officers there, people were doing the four way stop at each traffic light.

This was the moment of true. The main sign was still up. Good

Yes my Lord protected my little house and I am so happy. I walked around my neighbors home and checked them out.

Jimmy across the street, the large clam shell shutter came flying over his roof. This is where it ended up. Ad least it didn't hurt anyone else or even his roof.

The trailer is right behind me. I have not seen any one here since I moved in. I am guessing they are Snow Birds. I am very sorry to see their carport all torn up. I did drive around the park and saw ad least 7 carports pealed back and some what destroyed.

These are here for the worker that are building new home here. I saw ad least six (6) of the port a potties on their side.

Pat and Jimmie's place is all repaired. Pat son in law. Lives in the area and came over and repaired it and did it right. He was telling me that the clam shell was not screwed in the main beam. It was just screwed into the siding. All is well for them. They are coming back home today or tomorrow I think.

I got in and saw that the power was off. But the great news is my temp was down to 78. Now if it would stay there during the night?
I took down some of my shutters to get a breeze flowing through the house.
I went to bed early 8 pm. As I laid there, it was getting warmer. So I got up at 10 pm and went out under my carport. There was a breeze and it sure felt great. I even texted my friend in Balt, he was asking about how my place, how it did. We texted back and forward four or five times.
I sat there and just enjoyed it. But thinking there is no way I will be able to sleep out here. So back to bed I went.

I woke up at 4:53 am and saw this. That right I have power again. This is my night light that is built in the light switch. Praise Him. Closed all the windows and texted everyone I could think of. To share my excitement. Remember in Luke 15:8. It talks about a older woman that lost a coin in her house. Ripping apart her home to find it.
After she found it she rejoiced. She called all of her friends and neighbors to rejoice with her. I felt the same way, when the electric came back on.

Look at this clear sky and beautiful sunrise. How can any one complain?
We have breath and He still wants to use us.
Praise HIM.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
