Well I have been watching all the weather channels and news. My area should be okay to go back. I texted a couple of neighbors. Pat called me (neighbor) she was still away, told me she called the police department to see if it is okay to come back. So I ventured out around 9:45 am and said my good byes to Bonita.
It is raining a little bit. But looking forward in seeing if my home is still there?
This is along route 60. You can see people are still people, passing each other. We are traveling at 65 miles a hour. I guess they have some place to be at?
Driving down 60 towards Vero Beach. The lights are out all the way down. The real neat thing is, the main traffic lights there are police officers directing traffic.
It was good to see even at the lights that are not to busy. There are no officers there, people were doing the four way stop at each traffic light.
This was the moment of true. The main sign was still up. Good
Yes my Lord protected my little house and I am so happy. I walked around my neighbors home and checked them out.
Jimmy across the street, the large clam shell shutter came flying over his roof. This is where it ended up. Ad least it didn't hurt anyone else or even his roof.
The trailer is right behind me. I have not seen any one here since I moved in. I am guessing they are Snow Birds. I am very sorry to see their carport all torn up. I did drive around the park and saw ad least 7 carports pealed back and some what destroyed.
These are here for the worker that are building new home here. I saw ad least six (6) of the port a potties on their side.
Pat and Jimmie's place is all repaired. Pat son in law. Lives in the area and came over and repaired it and did it right. He was telling me that the clam shell was not screwed in the main beam. It was just screwed into the siding. All is well for them. They are coming back home today or tomorrow I think.
I got in and saw that the power was off. But the great news is my temp was down to 78. Now if it would stay there during the night?
I took down some of my shutters to get a breeze flowing through the house.
I went to bed early 8 pm. As I laid there, it was getting warmer. So I got up at 10 pm and went out under my carport. There was a breeze and it sure felt great. I even texted my friend in Balt, he was asking about how my place, how it did. We texted back and forward four or five times.
I sat there and just enjoyed it. But thinking there is no way I will be able to sleep out here. So back to bed I went.
I woke up at 4:53 am and saw this. That right I have power again. This is my night light that is built in the light switch. Praise Him. Closed all the windows and texted everyone I could think of. To share my excitement. Remember in Luke 15:8. It talks about a older woman that lost a coin in her house. Ripping apart her home to find it.
After she found it she rejoiced. She called all of her friends and neighbors to rejoice with her. I felt the same way, when the electric came back on.
Look at this clear sky and beautiful sunrise. How can any one complain?
We have breath and He still wants to use us.
Praise HIM.
