I really love this place.

This last week has been a stretch for me. If you have read my blog earlier this week you can see how things just would not work. But Friday night and Saturday I had my full of turkey and just enjoying fellowship.
Friday night was our Men's Ministry. We just meet over at Brother Hanna's home and pigged out there. Plus I was listening to some of the guys talk about all that has been going on with our crime. Yes this place has had 79 murders, just this year. For such a small set of islands, that is way to many. But over all the night was a lot of fun. Plus some real good food too.
Then Saturday night we had our Thanksgiving dinner at Veda's home. (Jordan Crossing) Had a nice turn out there too. You can see by the pictures all that happen. But there was one more ting that happen there. We had a chance to see some old single people too. Yes that is Mark and Kim you see there. They came to show us that there is still hope in our lives to get married again.

Hey everyone,

I really hope and pray you all had a great turkey day. It really is a day to reflex on all our Lord has given us thur this last year. I know myself I have so much to be thankful for. Just living here and being used by God at the Adventure Learning Centre has been a blessing. If you have read any of my blog before you can see I have a lot of troubles with all that goes on here. But at the end of the day I can still praise me.
Just something that happen yesterday. Bob and I needed to replace the pump in the pump house at the Camp. Seems to be a piece of cake? No not really, we got it in and it will not build up the pressure to shut the unit down. You know, like it is to fill up every thing and then as it gets to 60 psi, it is to shut off. Well it just keeps running and running. The only pressure it comes up to is 35 psi. So last night before I left to go out to Pastor Chet's house for dinner. I shut it off. I tested it again this morning, still not shutting off. Okay today I have something to do now.
Oh one more ting, on the way to Pastor Chet's home, my truck over heated. Two days ago, I saw I had a small leak in the heater hose. So I by passed it with PVC hot pipe. Well I looked at it last night. Pipe is pulled out and no more red coolant is in the truck. I just turned around and went back home and ate a egg sandwich. Oh well. I know my God is right along side me and He will help me Thur all that goes on here.

I am sorry but my computer is down again. So I have not been able to get on and read and send pictures. I am using the ALC computer right now. I am praying that I will get it fixed by the week end.
I just want to wish every one a Happy Turkey Day, YES it is Thanksgiving all ready. I just can not believe how fast time is going????? We will be in 2010 not to far away.
Please if I have not written to you or asked we something in your e mails. Now you know why. This computer here is windows 98 and it is slowwwwww. Like I said hopefully this week end. Nat the guy that is going to look at it told me, if could be a small problem or a BIG ONE. I really how and pray it is a small one.

A child was asked to write a book report on the entire Bible. This is amazing and brought tears of laughter to my eyes. I wonder how often we take for granted that children understand what we are teaching???

The Children's Bible in a Nutshell
In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there was nothing but God, darkness, and some gas. The Bible says, 'The Lord thy God is one, but I think He must be a lot older than that.
Anyway, God said, 'Give me a light!' and someone did.
Then God made the world.
He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were , but they weren't embarrassed because mirrors hadn't been invented yet.
Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating one bad apple, so they were driven from the Garden of Eden .....Not sure what they were driven in though, because they didn't have cars.
Adam and Eve had a son, Cain, who d his brother as long as he was Abel.
Pretty soon all of the early people died off, except for Methuselah , who lived to be like a million or something.
One of the next important people was Noah, who was a good guy, but one of his kids was kind of a Ham. Noah built a large boat and put his family and some animals on it. He asked some other people to join him, but they said they would have to take a rain check.
After Noah came Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob was more famous than his brother, Esau, because Esau sold Jacob his birthmark in exchange for some pot roast. Jacob had a son named Joseph who wore a really loud sports coat.
Another important Bible guy is Moses, whose real name was Charlton Heston . Moses led the Israel Lights out of Egypt and away from the evil Pharaoh after God sent ten plagues on Pharaoh's people. These plagues included frogs, mice, lice, bowels, and no cable.
God fed the Israel Lights every day with manicotti. Then he gave them His Top Ten Commandments. These include: don't lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or covet your neighbor's stuff.
Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more: Humor thy father and thy mother.
One of Moses' best helpers was Joshua who was the first Bible guy to use spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol and the fence fell over on the town.
After Joshua came David. He got to be king by a giant with a slingshot. He had a son named Solomon who had about 300 wives and 500 porcupines. My teacher says he was wise, but that doesn't sound very wise to me.
After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets.. One of these was Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then barfed up on the shore.
There were also some minor league prophets, but I guess we don't have to worry about them.
After the Old Testament came the New Testament . Jesus is the star of The New. He was born in Beth lehem in a barn. (I wish I had been born in a barn too, because my mom is always saying to me, 'Close the door! Were you born in a barn?' It would be nice to say, 'As a matter of fact, I was.')

During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners like the Pharisees and the Democrats.
Jesus also had twelve opossums.
The worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they named a terrible vegetable after him.
Jesus was a great man. He healed many leopards and even preached to some Germans on the Mount.
But the Democrats and all those guys put Jesus on trial before Pontius the Pilot. Pilot didn't stick up for Jesus. He just washed his hands instead..
Anyways, Jesus died for our sins, then came back to life again. He went up to Heaven but will be back at the end of the Aluminum. His return is foretold in the book of Revolution.

Hey everyone,

From now on for the bath house you really will not see that many pictures. The reason is they are now putting in the plumbing and electric work. So the next stage is coming right along. Pictures you see next will be when they start putting on the trusses.

What is going on here?

The pictures below show how much sand they have been pumping out of the harbor here. I think in Dec or Jan there is a ship coming that is the biggest ever made. So we had to pump sand out of the harbor so larger ship may come in.
Yesterday I had the chance to take a bicycle ride. I only went half way around. But about three quarters of the way, my legs started to lose strength. I had to stop four times to rest them. I have taken that trip many times. But the only thing is I have not done it since I have had back troubles. (two months ago)I can tell you this, I was praying pretty much just to make it home. It is funny too. I got 2/3s of the way, that is where Bob and Faye live now. I thought to myself I will ask them to give me a ride home. But inside of me said NO. I am going to make it home. So I pushed and prayed my way home. When I got home I crashed hard. My legs were limp. But by His grace I did make home. I need to ride again today, maybe.

Yes they are building a larger island.

Hey just wanted to stop by to say hello.

Yesterday, Bob and I went over to a friends house to help them out. While we pulled up I saw this guy sitting in his van with the engine running. It sure looked funny. So I took closer look and saw that he was stealing the inter net from the neighbor. Yes they do that here I guess too. So if any of you out there that have hooked up wireless on your computer. Please make sure you have a pass word set up in it. Or maybe some one might want to steal yours. The only real problem about stealing someone else Internet is. If they are stealing that, be careful they might be able to hack into some thing you might have. So just use common sense.
The pictures below show how our bath house is moving forward. I was told yesterday that the cement truck will be in today to pour. I walk around the bath house yesterday and I felt like I was walking into a real nice place.

Day number 10, They didn't pour yesterday

Yesterday was sooooooo beautiful. Weather and friendship too.

I went over to the Unity House and picked up a old friend. His name is Franklin Gardner. I have known him now for over 4 years. The sad part is he lives in a place that the people there don't get a chance to get out and see family and friends. So I try once or twice a month to visit them. Franklin has a brother that has a shack down at a place called Potter Cay. So every time I pick him up at the House he ask me to see his brother.(Vincent) This time was a great time. The reason I say this is most times we get down there Vincent is busy serving his customers. But this day we got there he was all most out of items to sell. So this time he really sat down and talked to both of us. I even enjoyed our time. Vincent tells his brother he doesn't visit him, because this way I will have to bring him there. Which is sound like a cop out. But in a way it is true too. This way he can see other family members and just get away for that house. My heart goes out to the people at the house. This place is for people that don't have anything and no place else to live. So they live here and pay with their government money they receive each month. So pretty much the family forgets about them and that is pretty much it.
Franklin has lost the use of his lieges about five years ago. You can still see a big smile on his face each time I come to visit and I know he looks forward to theses day. There is a another guy I usually pick up too.(john) But this day he wanted to be dropped off at this church to see some of his old friends there. Which I did dropped him off. Over all I think I get a kick out of seeing these people more then they do with me. I have been blessed every time I see them. Just by their smiles and for them to ask me for prayers and just asking for things they don't have. Tooth paste, soap, and pretty much any thing small that I can help them with. You can see who Franklin and Vincent plus his new friend (Vincent)at the bottom of the story. The other people are friends I had a chance to talk with that day at Potter Cay.

Saturday I had a chance to go see some old friends here in the Bahamas.

Good evening, Yes evening.

This afternoon, I was on my way to a store called Kelley's. The reason was I was going to drop off a payment for us at ALC. It is so funny how our Lord does things in our lives and we sometime never see why. Well like I said I was driving over to Kelley' while driving along, I thought to myself why am I going there now. I will be very close to it tomorrow after noon. Plus the traffic was sooooo BAD. Yes I was driving over there around 5:30pm. Rush night, Friday it is every one on their own. I was about three miles still to go. I said Lord you must have something for me to do. So I prayed that and guess what? Bingo, yes I saw a car having it hood up. I drove by and parked my truck. I walked over and asked if they needed any help. GUESS WHAT they did!!!!!!
I told them who I was and where I help out at. They told me that they know Randy Grebe and Kim and the kids too. Plus they named some other people I know. It sure neat to be used by Him. I helped them out a little and send them on their way with a small prayer. They blessed me too,(with a tip)The car battery was and I did check to see if it was still good. Not really. All I can say I prayed that they would made it home okay.

What we have been dealing with during our Single's meeting.

We have been going through a book called Safe People, by Dr. Henry Cloud/ Dr. John Thownsend. This book is something that Veda found on line a while back. It does use the Bible for a glide too. We started this back, almost 6 months ago. But you can understand we are trying to do the book plus just having some fun too. Which next month we will be going out for dinner, somewhere?
These book shows you what the differs is from Safe People and Unsafe People. Now just think about it. Do you know the differs? If not please check this book out. It really is a good one to see what we deal with each and every day of our lives. We say we want to be a safe person, but by reading this book sometime I am not a safe person. It comes down to integrity and character. Do we really understand what these words mean? Not always. We think we have both of them, until you read this book and see for yourself, we sometime don't. It is so funny to. On Saturday mornings, Pastor Lee has been having us Men. Go through somewhat the same items. Character and other things that show us what we really are. So if you want a good book to see. Please check this one out. Doesn't matter if you are single or not. You might be surprised by what you read and see in others.
