On Friday night Mark and I had a great time picking up the students from Patmos Florida. They flew in on Jet Blue and we took them to their new home for this week coming. It sure was neat to see some old faces and get caught up a little.
Next day was a day set aside to get some work done at both ALC and Camp. So that morning Adam and his crew got things in order so we could make it happen. Around 10:30am twenty guys flew in from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Their main reason was a out reach called Love Out Loud. Thought the world Calvary Chapel had set up different places to do some helps with people in need.
So this group could have stayed home and just did their family things together. But they didn't. They came here to serve us and help in all kinds of project that were needed. So some did painting and others cleared bush and the other group pulled out our old board walk and started replacing it with all new lumber.
So it was Patmos students and these guys working along side each other and just having some good fun too. I was running around to try to keep everyone with supplies and things. I really had a nice time just talking with a few of the guys and girls and getting to know them.
Then around 3:30pm the Ft Laud group of guys we went over to the All Saints to show them around and feed the people that live there. I was trying to see every one and say hello and just see what has been going on up here. It really was a eye opener for couple of these guys that came. I know most of them have seen this place by what Pastor Bob has shown and told about them, from his puplet.
Then we all came over to the Camp and Pastor Chet explained all that is needed here to finish projects that have been started but right now are on hold until we receive more funds to make it happen. Pastor Chet really did a nice job of telling the story behind ALC and all we do here. I really think these guys enjoyed there time and just seeing all that happens here. We did pray for the Bathhouse and the Camp fire area and over all that goes on here at the Camp. I am very happy to see all that happen yesterday and how every one just worked as hard as they could and walk away and say I think we made a different here. I know they saw God's hand on this place and my prayer is that God tugs on their hearts and will be able to see our vision of all that we will do here.
Just a note if you see these guys come here and do this and that. How about you that is reading this? I wish to give you a welcome and ask for your prayers too.
