Driving down to the beach yesterday morning at 7:20 am. Why am I driving there you ask? Well once every three months we do Water Baptisms at Atlantic Ocean and A1A.
All these people you see are volunteers. They come out to help our church do it right. This way everyone that comes our way will have a chance to fill out a card and hear about what Baptism is all about.
These are some Marines running by. The neat thing was how our people clapped as they went by us. Showing our support for them and just cheering them on.
\This is a family that will be getting baptized after they pray.
I only stayed for a little while. The reason was there were plenty of guys to baptize.
At the service last night Pastor Doug told us that 312 people got baptized. That is such wonderful news.
What you are doing? Why do I need to get baptized? Well the Bible tells us that we as Christians need to be baptized. Now if you are like me, I was baptized as a baby. But the Bible said that it is our choose to be baptized. That is showing others that we have made a statement saying we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and understand why we do this.
