I lot of hustle and bustle. People running here and there. We are at the Fort Lauderdale Airport.
We drove down to Cypress Creek, exit on, 95. Pulled into the Tri Rail parking lot. Unloaded our bags and hopped on the Tri Rail, heading south. Got to the bus and took the bus to the airport and all is well. We had a hour to spare.
What a beautiful art work.
As we sat down to wait for our flight, Jeanne went over to buy some snacks and drinks for us. It is funny, but we talked about bring some with us. Oh well, our minds are not as good as they use to be????
The flight was fully booked. Jeanne sat behind on the other side of the plane. I didn't sign in time to get our seats next to each other. You need to get on line right at the time they tell you to reserve your seats.
Oh well we are on and it cost us, $398.00 round trip, not bad?
Well we made it and here is our car. It was sad to say, but I was hitting my head every time I got in this little car. It was a joke. I just had trouble bending my head to get it. Near the end of our trip, I figured it out, after many hits to the head. But it was our rental. Cost us $255.00 +. So not to bad.
After we got to Don and Meg's hoe we hung out a little. I think the next day went down town Ellicott City, Maryland. Here we parked and just started out walking around and taking in the sites.
Just want to share about Don. We have been best friends since my 7th birthday. The reason I say this is, I have a movie (disc now) of my birthday party and he was there. plus others that came. But the neat thing is we have kept contact every since.
So I have been wanting to have him and his wife meet my bride (Jeanne) for a while now. So we talked any times on how we can make it happen. So Jeanne had off for a few days, Spring Break. So I set up the flight and rental car and we flew out on the 15th of March and stayed there until Sunday the 20th. I will be sharing more down the road here.
This is my girl Jeanne and her new friend, Meg. I think Mg and Don have been married for over 40 years.
This was a neat story, it had all kinds of Christmas stuff in it.
Walked over to the Train station. This is the first one ever. This is where it all started.
As we were still walking around, we saw some real nice art work on the buildings.
There is a sad part about the town, Ellicott City, for the last couple of years they have been having a lot of trouble with flooding. Pretty much the whole town has been flooded out. I guest they have been doing a lot of chances and trying to stop it here. But as you look here, the water is very shallow.
As our time was winding down, we thought maybe we cane stop here and get something to eat? But they were closed already for the day. I really not sure what tie it was, but I guest they only serve breakfast and lunch?
I think we left here and went back home to eat and just hang out until the net day?
Okay why have I not been blogging????
We have been very busy, school things and me Dorr Dashing. So today is Saturday April 2nd and I took the time to make sure I blogged today.
We will be going to the Farmer's Market today and walking around.
