Last Sunday we had a few people over for a nice Brisket and Pork dinner.

I think Jeanne and I got up Saturday and getting things going for our BBQ. I think we set up the smoker around 1pm. Then started the fire at 5pm. Started cooking and it went thru the whole evening. I am not sure why I didn't take any pictures of smoking the meat? But her is the final results.
I know I went to bed around 1am and Jeanne stayed up the whole night, watching the fire and making sure everything went well. Which it did, but my baby was running on fumes. As the people came, she got her second or maybe third wind.
So here our fest. Brisket, Shredded pork, coleslaw, corn and baked beans. Ann brought her potatoes. Julie and Jim brought the fruit tray. It all came together, and everyone enjoyed it to the fullest. I know at the end we had some food left over. But everyone took something home with them.
Okay what is going on NOW????

Looking around the room. Jake, Christa, Kaden Kashlyn and my Jeanne.
Kaden was living in Iowa for the last year or so. he was staying with his dad, that lives there. I guess, last summer, Christa let him go there and stay during the summer months. But when fall came Kaden asked to stay there and little longer. Which turned out to be the whole school year and he just got back here a couple of days ago. So, we are having his Christmas and Easter now.

It is kind of hard to see the folks all the way back of the picture. But it is Jim and his wife Julie, Ann and my lovely wife, Jeanne. Were sitting next to the picture window and just catching up on all that has been going on.
I guess it was getting a little later and pretty much everyone packed up some food and time to get going back home. We walked out and Julie noticed the double rainbow.

Wow that was neat to see. I think the last one I ever saw was while living in the Bahamas. Its kind a hard to see but look above the full one. It is there.
Well by the way were saying our goodbyes, everyone really appreciated the food and our time to hang out. Well, this was our July 4th BBQ. The reason was the next Monday morning she was having her right hand worked on and she will be laid up for about 12 weeks. Not really aloud to use her right hand at all. No pinching the thumb and forefinger. Plus, she need keep it elevated.
So, I am very happy to say the operation went well and she is doing good. At first there was a lot of pain. But since the second day, she has been doing good.
Praise the Lord for all He is doing in our lives. It just seems like we are having this done and that.
But I know HE IS IN CONTROL.
