This is my friend Monty. I meet him back in the Bahamas. A quick story. Monty and his wife Patrell were in a class at the church we were going to. (Calvary Bible). Well Pastor Jerry asked what we thought about our church? Well, I just asked if they will be singing any songs that are updated? Like contemporary? Monty looked over my way and said, you're an old guy, why would you like contemporary music? Since then, we became friends. we tried meeting once a month or so to get caught up and just hang out.
Okay now back to this story. Monty and his family came over here for a vacation. So, they are staying in Orlando during their stay. He has been texting and asked when can we get together? So yesterday him and his family drove over our way and spent the day with us. It sure was great to see him again.
Okay Chase, Patrell, (her mom) Hunter, Jeanne, Monty and Monty's mom. We took these two pictures in our back yard.
We drove over to the ramp and got loaded up and on our way out.
Okay we didn't catch anything, BUT this guy followed us here and there. We thru some food out to him or her. Plus put couple of hooks out in front of him and her. But it just hung with us. Would not eat anything. Not sure what he or she was?
Oh, one more thing, while coming in there was a group of Mackerel. We tried everything to get one or two. But they moved here and there.
We got out and the weather and seas were beautiful. We tried all kinds of different places to fish. But sorry to say, nothing. Folks I know the kids were kind of disappointed. But I know they still had some fun. Just by watching Monty and Patrell come alongside their children, they would ask Hunter or Chase a question about something. Then as parents they would explain and try to show them this or that. There was no yelling or arguing at all. Just coming up and loving them. Wow that was a breath of fresh air.
It seems like every time I hear or see parents talking with their children, someone it is yelling or arguing with them. Monty and Patrell are doing it right. I was very impress on how they deal with their children. I even wrote to Monty this morning telling him the same thing. VERY WELL DONE.
It is LOVING YOUR CHILDREN. Plus, the children are loving their parents back. RESPECT.
Monty took this picture while going out to sea.
It sure was nice to see everyone and just enjoyed our day hanging out and just a great time.
It sure was nice to see everyone again.
Okay they will be in Orlando for the remaining week. So, if you think of them, please say a prayer or two for them.
Well folks what are you doing today? I really hope and pray you are taking some time to talk with our Lord Jesus Christ and just chilling. Remember today is a day of REST.
