Let's start out with Saturday morning. Jeanne and I packed up the cooler and set out to go to Sam's Club. WHY YOU ASK? Aren't you supposed to go the Winter Haven? Yes, we are, but Jeanne wanted to cook Brisket on Monday morning, So, we don't' have a brisket in the freezer. So, we stopped at Sam's Club on the way. Oh, mean while she bought some jeans for me and her.
Okay, we have the meat in the cooler and ready to go to Winter Haven.
We drove there and picked up Bonita and then drove too Largo. We got here and stopped at Greg's house to find out what the plan is. So, he called Debbie, and we will be meeting them at this restaurant.
Okay we are here and here is my family.
Debbie, Jeanne and Jon.
From left to right, Debbie, Jeanne, Jon, Greg (in the rear right) Me, Joyce and Bonita.
We did invite Mark. That is Debbie and Joyce's young brother. I guess he had something else to do?
I was told, they have great Spaghetti. I love Spaghetti. I am not sure what everyone else got. I just know I was hungry and we going the enjoy this. Which I did very much.
Family shot. Greg, Debbie, Me Bonita and Joyce.
I was trying to get out of there by 5:30pm. But when I started to tell them, Debbie came out and gave me some pictures. So, I had to share with others and tell everyone who is who. Okay saying our goodbyes, really didn't get out of there until 6:45pm. I got Bonita home saving and Jeanne, and I were very thankful for the trip.
We got home around 10pm or maybe later? But home at last. It really was a blessed trip, to see my family and Jeanne told me that she had a great time too.
Okay, we sleep in on Sunday morning. I think I got up at 8:30am and then my little girl was up.
Okay, we need to go to Sam's Club for something? Oh, gas and something for school.
Then we drove over to the school and meant Jessie (Jeanne's niece) She went to the store for some coconut flakes. OH, BIG NEWS JESSIE WAS BAPTIZED THIS MORNING AT THE CROSING COMMUNITY CHURCH. I am very sorry we didn't make it there this morning. (We slept in) Jessie meant us at the school and now we need to make frosting for the cupcakes. Jeanne made them(cupcakes) Friday after school. Okay Jessie and Jeanne made the frosting and ready to go. Home and get ready for A BIG 90th BIRTHDAY FOR MOMMA, Pat and his brother's mother.
We got ready and went to the birthday party.
This is Momma in the chair, she is 90 today. That is so neat to see. 90 years of life. She has seen much and lived a good life. This is one of Jeanne's friends. Pat and her used to hang out when they were in school and she knew them since she was 7 years old. Pat and his mom, just live a half of a block away from us.
These are the beautiful cupcakes my baby made, and they were a bug hit at this party. Everyone enjoyed them, except some that have sugar problems. But they were grateful and Momma really enjoyed them very much.
Well, this party was going well, and it seemed that everyone was having some fun.
I think we left there around 6pm. Now we need to get the grill ready for cooking our brisket.
Brand new smoker. We bought this about three months ago. We have not used it until today. So, Jeanne read the instruction and told her to burn off the anything that doesn't belong there. Wow this baby can burn. The grill is off until we got it started.
We set for 500 degrees. So, it was climbing fast. We did the burn off and everything is ready to do some smoking.
Okay I think we started at 12 midnight. Jeanne didn't wake me up to help her get things started. So, I think I got up around 5am or so. Then she got up a little later. But it did do a good job on smoking the meats. We had the Brisket, Pork shoulder and some Saint Louis Ribs too.
Jeanne asked Jessie and Jake to come over and enjoy some good food.
This is our Labor Day lunch.
Brisket and boy was it GOOD.
This the Pork shoulder.
This is KIMCHI, Korean must food. Very tasty and a little spicy. This has cucumber in it.
I even enjoyed it myself,
Korean rice. really is white rice. I am not if it is Korean or not?
We made these too for the party on Sunday morning. Jessie help Jeanne make these, too.
We had Cowboy Beans and corn and what a great meal for our Labor Day.
Folks it seems to me that every day is a blessing.
So, I hope and pray you, yes YOU. Are being a blessing to others.
Time is flying away, and I just wanted to tell you all that Jesus Christ LOVES YOU.
I know I am blessed to have a wonderful wife, and life, and just knowing I have.
SALVATION
THRU JESUS CHRIST.
Please folks if you have not given Him your life, PLEASE DO TODAY.
Very simple, JUST CALL OUT TO HIM AND ASK HIM INTO YOUR HEART TODAY.
OUR TIME IS RUNNING OUT FAST.
Please pass this on to your family and others, that is why He called me to do, and I don't want to disappoint HIM.
