A while back I was out looking for a replacement rim for the F150. The sad part was I had to order it online and spent $92.00 from E Bay. Okay the only reason I am bringing this up again is. I threw that old one in the back of my truck to get a buck or two back, at the scrape yard.
Now there are like three other bags on here that I found on the side of the road. Thinking the more the merrier. Hey, I think we have been saving these since we moved here. So, thinking, wow I should make some a few bucks?
WOW, I am so shocked, for 17 pounds all I got was $3.40 for all these cans. That is very disappointing.
Hey, the wheel (rim) came thru with $20.80. So, the new (old) rim cost me $70.00.
That was a nice surprise.
Folks I know someone is making some good money for selling aluminum cans. OH, it's the scrape yard. Before I drove out here to the scrape yard. I went online and looked and found that the avg. price per pound is $.45 I got $.20 a pound. That doesn't sound to fair. Oh, plus if you look at the receipt it $.20 cents I lost too. WHY?
Overall folks I will not being saving cans anymore. You know thinking, I was doing good. But after you empty out the can and rise it and smashing (flatting) so I could get more into the bag. Then dealing with ants where you show them. Our shed was my spot. It really was not worth my time or effort.
That is why we have recycling centers and have this big green garbage can to recycling.
No problem, I will be putting them into that.
So, how is your week going so far. It's kind of crazy that Thanksgiving is just around the corner.
All I ask is that you are talking with our Lord and letting Him guild you and direct your paths.
He loves you.
