We drove back up town, (Nassau) to meet our son Kevin. Today is his birthday. he is 30 years old. WOW, I have known him since he was 12 years old.
Just driving west on W Bay Street. Saw this Tulsa. I think this business is having a raffle, for this truck.
That would be a prize anyone here would love to own.
Yes, we are back at Arawak Cay. This is where a lot of restaurants in this one strip.
Kevin meet us here. Jeanne and I walked over to where he was and brought him to this restaurant. We ate here on Sunday afternoon. Ordered some food. While we were all sitting on the beach side, I noticed a little friend looking at us. Oh, right after I took this picture a couple was walking along near our new friend. Jeanne warned them to be careful. Then another couple was walking the opposite way. Jeanne warned them too. They just laughed and walked around. He ran off after all of the folks looking at him, or her.
Well, we asked Kevin where we can get some ice bream. We piled into the car and drove over to Cable Beach area. There was this yogurt shop. Walked in and ask what do we need to do? The young lady behind the counter told us to fill up our cups and come back to her and she will weight them out.
Boy, I am not sure what we all got, but the bill came to $56.00 plus tip.
After sitting here awhile Kevin was telling us about what he has been up too. Then I was thinking we need to get going. So, while driving Kevin home, he was telling us that his sister Lotoya would love to see us and if we could stop by and say hello? Sure, I think I would enjoy seeing her and her family.
Right after we got there, her hubby (sorry he told me his name, but I forgot it) Came up to me and handed me three different items. One was a mirror that he made up.
I just took it out of the bag we brought it back over with. It really took him some time to make this and I was very happy that he was thinking of us. He told me that he was very grateful for all I did for his wife's family over these many years.
Like I said I was very happy to receive these gifts from him and to see his family all together here.
Yes I am holding a baby in my hands. I felt an honor to be part of her family today.
We said our good byes and I drove Kevin to the where his mom's bar is. I guess he was going to work now. He helps out there and is very much enjoying helping them out.
Well, saying goodbye is really no fun at all. But we will see each other again.
I still can't believe he is 30 years old. Crazy how Our Loving Lord works. He is the One that put us together back many years ago. I moved here in 2005, I think I meet Kevin and his family the following year. I just moved into a duplex across the street from ALC.
From here we started heading east. We are just leaving Gambier area. There is a school there called Gambier Primary school. The ALC used to pick children up here and bring them back to ALC and spend school day with us. Then we would take them back to the school and drop them off. Plus, we did many work projects here too. When we would have groups come in to do some work projects, this was one of our main ones. Painting and fixing things up and just picking up trash and cleaning.
Jeanne asked if I could pull over and get out and just enjoy the view? Sure can, it really is a beautiful one, isn't it????
Now we need to get back to Arawak Cay, we will be meeting Monty and his family there for dinner. Boy I know this is a vacation, but boy driving here and there, takes a total on me. Remember I am driving on the left-hand side of the road and folks here drive a little bit faster than I do.
I ordered porkchops plus. It really was very tasty and enjoyable.
My little girl got the Snapper plus. You do see the head is still there??? Yes, that is supposed to be the best part of the fish. I wouldn't eat it. But I know of Bahamians that love too.
This is my buddy Monty and crew, Hunter, Taylor and Petra (sorry I might have spelled her name wrong) Hey guys I love you and really enjoy our time. Thank you so much for a great dinner and just hanging out. Plus.
Okay we closed this place. We all left here and I guess Monty and family went home, While Jeanne and I went to Atlantis and on Paradise Island. I will share that adventure down the road.
Hey, today is Thursday April 3rd. I just finished reading in my Bible 1 Samuel chapter 15 and 16th. These two chapters are about Samuel taking with God about Saul. God told Samuel to have Saul, attack the Amalekites. Plus make sure you kill everyone and everything, Animals children, women and men. Destroy everything there in that city.
But Saul didn't listen correctly. He brought the King Agag, back home with him, plus many animals. Which King Saul was telling Samuel that they are for sacrifices. Samuel tells King Saul, in chapter 15 verse 22-But Samuel replied, "What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your OBEDIENCE to His voice? Obedience is far better that sacrifice. Listening to him is much better than offerings the fat of rams. I will write more on this tomorrow or the next days.
