It's been a wonderful time to spend with this guy and his lovely wife. Hey, I am not sure if I ever told you the story about how I meet Don? Well, I had a birthday party back when I was 7 years old. The only reason I know this is my dad and mom took a movie of it. So, I have been his friend since. That is was 67 years ago. Yes, to me it's been a up and down road, but I am happy I still call him my best friend.
I can tell you this, while they have been staying with us, we did have some very heavy talks about our past and what is next in his life. So, I was very happy to be here for them.
As we were eating breakfast, I asked about how their time here went. Well, I guess I asked the wrong question. Because Don went on, how he didn't do this or that. I asked them each day, what would you like to do today? I know Jeanne and I had a great time, and I really hope and pray that they did too.
Folks sometimes it's the way I ask questions, I have a reason for the question to see how they answer.
