It is Sunday. Where did you go to church?

Well the stage is a little but bigger. That right, I am at Archie's. This is where Pastor David has church. I have been here a couple of other times. I like the surroundings.

I guess David and his crew sat down and made up a praise song for this place. It really cause me to stomp my foot and just get excited.

Then you can see, we sang this song too. It reworded a little different But it was a praise song too.
I guess we can pretty much take a old rock and roll song and add Christ to it and it is some what neat to sing. We all know the beat.

This is Pastor Bob, he is the one that does the teachings. He is in the book of 1 Corinthians 1:Chapter #2. This is one of the areas that Paul speaks about WISDOM. Verse #9, That is what the Scripture means when they say: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him. Then afterwards Pastor David closes it out.

You can see there is a pretty good group of folks here. Now maybe not all of them are here for the service? But it sure good to see how many do come out.

You will see tomorrow's blog is what happen afterward the service.
Archie's every year has a thing called HOG WILD.
Guess what that might mean?

I have a prayer request. Friends of mine back in the Bahamas.

As you know I am part of a family over for the last 6 years. Their names are Tim and Felicia. As Hurricane Matthew made his way through Nassau, Bahamas. There was some damage done to their home. All I am asking for is prayer for them and others that have had damage done to their homes and business. We have not heard that much about how the Bahamas did during the storm. But I know of a couple of friends I have over there, have roof damage. So please keep them in your prayers. I know through out the world we are hearing story after story about Haiti and the Haitian people and all they are going through.
Folks our time on this earth is getting shorter an shorter. He (Jesus) is trying to get a hold of people's hearts and souls. So PLEASE if you think of all that is going on around us. It is to bring Glory to HIM.
Keep all these thing in prayer and let us see what happens next. We all know that His return is right around the corner.

Just driving around the park.

I saw maybe eight to ten trees down. Nothing to big.

I have a friend and she has these on her home too. There really is no way to take them down and hook them to the windows. I guess they are just for looks and maybe shade in the home.

It looks like someone used a can opener and pealed it back.

No one is home here yet.

Here are a couple of more carports that got damaged.

As I was looking at our neighbors clam shells hurricane shutters.

I saw when they put them up they missed the main supports. Not sure how that happens. Well ad least for now Jimmie's place is some what security.

Large tree down in the little round about.
Over all the park did well. I was riding around last night and heard some generators running in peoples driveways. I guess they still don't have electric. I was talking with a friend that has a house down about a mile off the main road. Jon, He still doesn't have power. I received a message from Florida Power and Light yesterday, saying by Sunday evening pretty much everyone should have their electric back on.
This is all about His GRACE. It could have been sooooo MUCH Worst. But His race saved our butts again. The sad part is maybe the next one might not be so good?
Are you going to church today, to THANK HIM?

It sure good to be back home.

Well I have been watching all the weather channels and news. My area should be okay to go back. I texted a couple of neighbors. Pat called me (neighbor) she was still away, told me she called the police department to see if it is okay to come back. So I ventured out around 9:45 am and said my good byes to Bonita.
It is raining a little bit. But looking forward in seeing if my home is still there?

This is along route 60. You can see people are still people, passing each other. We are traveling at 65 miles a hour. I guess they have some place to be at?

Driving down 60 towards Vero Beach. The lights are out all the way down. The real neat thing is, the main traffic lights there are police officers directing traffic.

It was good to see even at the lights that are not to busy. There are no officers there, people were doing the four way stop at each traffic light.

This was the moment of true. The main sign was still up. Good

Yes my Lord protected my little house and I am so happy. I walked around my neighbors home and checked them out.

Jimmy across the street, the large clam shell shutter came flying over his roof. This is where it ended up. Ad least it didn't hurt anyone else or even his roof.

The trailer is right behind me. I have not seen any one here since I moved in. I am guessing they are Snow Birds. I am very sorry to see their carport all torn up. I did drive around the park and saw ad least 7 carports pealed back and some what destroyed.

These are here for the worker that are building new home here. I saw ad least six (6) of the port a potties on their side.

Pat and Jimmie's place is all repaired. Pat son in law. Lives in the area and came over and repaired it and did it right. He was telling me that the clam shell was not screwed in the main beam. It was just screwed into the siding. All is well for them. They are coming back home today or tomorrow I think.

I got in and saw that the power was off. But the great news is my temp was down to 78. Now if it would stay there during the night?
I took down some of my shutters to get a breeze flowing through the house.
I went to bed early 8 pm. As I laid there, it was getting warmer. So I got up at 10 pm and went out under my carport. There was a breeze and it sure felt great. I even texted my friend in Balt, he was asking about how my place, how it did. We texted back and forward four or five times.
I sat there and just enjoyed it. But thinking there is no way I will be able to sleep out here. So back to bed I went.

I woke up at 4:53 am and saw this. That right I have power again. This is my night light that is built in the light switch. Praise Him. Closed all the windows and texted everyone I could think of. To share my excitement. Remember in Luke 15:8. It talks about a older woman that lost a coin in her house. Ripping apart her home to find it.
After she found it she rejoiced. She called all of her friends and neighbors to rejoice with her. I felt the same way, when the electric came back on.

Look at this clear sky and beautiful sunrise. How can any one complain?
We have breath and He still wants to use us.
Praise HIM.

I am doing well. It is Friday morning around 7 am.

This was the pictures I was seeing on the TV. Thinking maybe we should get out of Dodge? By what I was shown, the storm eye was coming right over Fort Pierce and Vero Beach. No reason to take a chance? Plus most of the people in our park was telling me they are leaving. I was thinking about riding it out here? But like I said, everyone I was talking with was leaving. So my neighbor (Roy) and I were talking saying maybe we should leave? He told me he was going west to his brother's place. But as I was writing this, he called. He is in Naples. Staying at his son in laws home.

Thursday morning  finished putting up my shutters. I packed some clothes and most of my tools. Plus the bike. Hey pretty much everything I own is very little. So I found my important papers and packed everything up and threw it in the truck. Started out going north on 95. This is around 8 am.
Got on 60 and headed west. Really no big traffic problem at all.

Got to Lake Wales and the traffic started to get heavy. But it was still flowing. Got to my cousin's place by 10:30 am. It was raining on and off.  But no rely troubles.

My cuz Bonita needed some stuff from Walmart. Got there and saw even here the bread was gone already. We are almost 140 miles in from the east coast. Plus notice the gas stations were out of gas too. I got gas for $2.09 a gallon. So I have been hearing about people over charging for supplies. But I have not seen any yet.
Heading east around 10 am. So I will let you know if and what has happen to my place. I just texted a guy in Fort Pierce and he said he still ha power. That is a wonderful thing.

We have ourselves a hurricane coming. Matthew.

On Tuesday afternoon I went out to get a couple of items. Nothing major. But just in case. This was the cracker row. I guess everyone is thinking the same. Cookies and crackers, you can not go wrong? Everyone enjoys them.
This was Walmart.

Tuesday night it was the same oh Dart Game. The folks didn't come out as strong as last week. But there was still a couple of games. I was in the middle game guys won one and the ladies won the other one.

As I was riding back home. I saw the club house was all boarded up and I guess they plan here for things like hurricanes? It really is coming?

This was the sunset that night. Over looking one of our lakes. I am very blessed to call this place my home and just enjoy all that our Lord has given me to call it home.

This is the cover I am thinking about.

I have been looking on Amazon for a while now. The prices go from this one to $250.00. I thinking all I need to a cover that will stay on and this is the one I had on my older truck, Mazda 2500. It is the one that is back in the Bahamas. The cover is gone now, that was on it. Not sure, it was over 12 years old. It had some tears and the buttons didn't always snap in place. Hey I got my use out of it. Prayerfully this one will last as long.

What am I doing?

I took the bed liner out. The reason is as I was drilling holes to find the hooks, I dropped the drill bit behind the liner. Thinking why not just take it out and see how it looks under the liner?
I was very blessed to say no rust and it still looked fairly in good shape.

The reason for all of this work. I took the eye bolts off the top of the bed liner. There was six of them. That is what I have been using to tie things down. Which it worked great. But as I am not using the back of my truck that much, like I did while working at Calvary Fort Lauderdale. As I loaded up tables and chairs and what ever else was needed to move from A to B. It really did the job well.
Roy came over while I was trying to get the chains on the hooks. It was not as easy as I thought it would be. I really had to spread the hooks a little more to get them to go over the other hooks. But after playing around for a little while Roy gave me a idea. Why not just put the hooks on with out the chains. Then put the chains on? It worked so much better. The chains were getting in the way, trying to hit the hook with a hammer. All is well now.

You can see I screwed the bed liner in on the sides and front. Plus four screws holding the lip down too.

Now all I have to do is order the round out tarp. I will order it next week. The reason is there is no hurry. Plus I will be driving south on Thursday and will be moving some furniture that day for Jon.

Okay have been praying and asking Him what is going on in my truck?

This paper I took out of it on Friday. Now thinking, well if there is paper in it. There must be a big build up in the thermostat? I don't have any thing to loose. I will pull it out and look at it.

I puled it out and look not one piece of paper anything on it or in it?

I flushed it form all ways. I didn't see any more paper anywhere. Okay where did it all go? I didn't put the thermostat back in. Roy and I drove up to Vero Beach and the temp pretty much stayed the same, in traffic and just going along at 55 mph. Folks I am very far form being a guy that knows trucks or even cars. I try to repair what I can. But this is crazy. I will still take the truck over to Mark on Tuesday. Maybe he can explain more?

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
