HEY LOOK AT WHAT KEVIN HAS !!!!

That is RIGHT, he got his PASS PORT PAPER WORK STRAIGHT. That is something we have been trying to get in the last TWO YEARS. Yesterday Kevin and his mom went down to the Pass Port office one more time. I have not kept track on how many times he has done this. But I know for myself, I have been there 4 times.(maybe 5) The young lady came back and said all is well. So Kevin handed the $50.00 to her and she gave him back receipt. Now in two weeks he can go back and pick it up. Now is the two weeks going to be MORE? We will See. Thank you Jesus for His work in every thing. 

This is what is for next week

The boards are cut and ready for replacing one of the large Barn Doors. Plus it is all cleaned up around the wood pile too. This place after a while of building and just trying to get things done. It can look very messing area. 

I just love Fridays

The reason I say that is, this is the day I try to finish up things we have started from the beginning of the week. Okay Tuesday and Wednesday,Tim and I worked on the Barn doors, I touched up all the paint on them.

Plus you can see I had a little helper too.

The gate opener stopped working on Monday? It sure has been a big stress maker for me. It seems like we get it up and then it is down in two days. Okay this time it blew a fuse. I think someone was trying to get out while it was closed, then kicked the fence. The chain was bent and the fence pushed in. Not sure why? But after playing with it a while, it looks like it lines up again. The magnets have to line up with the machine. If not the motor keeps running and that I believe that is what blows the 25 amp fuse. It is up and running again. For how long?

Now the Pig Pen area. The gate and fence is wobbling back and forth. So I drill in tap cons to the cement 2X4. Then attached a 2X6 to the 4x4's Plus the 2x4. It didn't make is tight, but it will last until we decide what to do with this area. The reason I say that is, we have been talking about moving them away from the front of near the gate. Some times the smell is over whelming. 

The last project is some thing that Matt was working on. He replace the boards on a couple of the poles. Then he put the molding around the bottom of each one. So I caulked them and painted the boards.

 So it was a great week of getting some things off of our list. 

Just a quick look at the Cottage B

They have been moving forward in this place. It sure is a great thing to happen. Maybe down the road, our staff can stay there. That is the plan as I have heard. Not sure about the tongue and grove ceiling. My concern is between the roof and the boards.

My son has a talent

As these couple of days in the Media Centre. The young ladies have been cleaning and getting tings ready for the next school year. One of them found these pictures. I can tell these are some of the work Kevin has done. He really has a gift in art work. If you look closely, he has the details. I am very blessed to call him my son. I wish I had some more pictures to share of him but, Kevin has been out looking for a job. Last week he had a inter view with store here, called Kelly's. The young lady told him he has a job, but has a couple of items to get done before he starts work. This place does direct deposit. So Kevin has to have a saving account. So as he still doesn't have his passport. He will have to go down and get a voters card. Then take that plus his NIB card plus some funds to open account. As of this morning, I have not heard back about how he did, getting all that done. I will find out today. My prayer is that things will happens and by next week he will start his new job. Oh there is one more item, He needs to get his driver licence. We will see how that goes? He was told, he can get that later on.

Have a question

This is the realizes of Kevin's BGCSE's This is the testing that they use to show your final grade for the last four years of schooling. Kevin didn't do that great, but I have questions? 

If you look at this, you can see how the grading system works. Now my question is, WHY after D would you have to have any other grades? Just say, you have failed? A,B and C is passing. D,E,F and G? What is the possibles of all this? I really think this is not right at all. Just use A,B and C. Then say FAIL. No really reason to show how dumb you are? 

I love when a plain comes together.

For the last couple of days, Tim has been working on building the doors for the barn. As yesterday was winding down, we got the last door up. Then has we were looking at how to fasten the door to the back wall. Tim said, let us try this. So you can see he put a couple of pieces of lumber on the fence. Then drilled a hole into it and it works great.
The first picture is how we started out the day. That is Shadow and Tim, his dad, the other guy is Matt. This was his last day spending here in Nassau. Around 11;30 am Eric and him drove over to a beach and spend the rest of the day snoring. Then around 4 pm or so, Matt had to be back at the airport. He needs to get back and do that work ting. It really was nice to have him here for a couple of days. He pretty much worked on the Media Centre poles. He had to replace the outer boards on one pole and a couple of pieces on two other poles. Then he put the base board around all the poles on the front porch. I will take pictures today. Thank you Matt for you help, maybe down the road he might come back?

Folks I have a question for you all out there.

I get this report each time I get on line to put stuff into my blog. My question is Who are all of you out there? I am only using one day report. On Aug 27th there was 367 people that looked at my blog. Out of all of them, look at where you are all FROM. I just want to say thank you for your loyalty and just ask why do you look at it? I know personally many of you, have been here before and like to see all that has been happening. But by looking at different countries, China, I am sorry but I don't think I know any one from there? Since Tim Seeley has been over seeing the Camp, he has been on top of getting things done. This piece of paper is our final electric approval. That is such good news. Now we can move forward on getting all the rest of the paper work needed to get every thing up to date that has been in the works for many years. Just like I showed how the Cottage B is being built too. That is all in his hands. I am very blessed to have him and his family here. Since they got here the Camp has been in getting more thing done, than what I could do before. You know trying to do maintenance and run the Camp is over my head. So like I said, they have gotten so much more done. Plus you have seen all the neat things that are happening at the Centre too. Looking back and seeing how our Lord really has been blessing us in getting all these tasks done. Is really neat to see. It is all in His Hands and His Time too.

It is so good to get things done

Well today is Tuesday and my old friend comes in and helps us today. The one I am talking about is Mr Tim. Hey a couple of weeks ago he cut up all the lumber that is needed to build the doors for the Barn. So that was his project today. Then as you see we have someone else helping. That is Matt, his job back in the states is doing finish carpenter work. You know he works on yachts and large boats. One example is he has built closets and other larger items. So I am very blessed to have both of them working on wood work. Hopefully today we can wrap up the doors on the Barn and not sure if Matt will be around today to finish up the molding around the those poles that hold up the front porch on the Media Centre. We will what happens today.

This is Zec,Dannie,Micheal and Beth. Plus the kids

Yesterday was a sad day. that right these guys had to fly back home. Their time here was very specil. While here, they all had jobs to do. If you look back at my blog you can see some of them. But over all we were very blessed to have them willing to do what ever was needed. Just like on raining days. Okay we can't paint, but let us tear down a couple of walls. This is what the room looks like now. After reaping away two walls that use to stand here. Now it is a open area. This way the staff has it own room. Okay back to say good bye. So these guys pretty much did it. So they have to go back. Over all I was very blessed to even call them my friends. During the last couple of days. They had a chance to really get a little vacation. They all went over to a hotel.(Atlantis)  It might sound like they have money but they just know how to save and get good deals. The real nice part of that was, they took Kevin along too. I know by talking with them, he was very good and a joy for them to have time to spend with him. So at this time, we will say good bye, but I know they will be back and they are always welcome. Dannie made note to me, she really enjoys when we all work together. That was a good reminder for me. Some time I get so wrapped up on trying to keep people busy, I don't work along side of them, I just tell them to do this or that. Thank you for the reminder, Dannie. see guys soon. 

Raining day, what shall we do today?

I have a new helper for the next couple of days. His name is Matt. He is from Fort Lauderdale area. He use to help Dan Roth out at the Camp a while back. I think he said 9 years ago. I will have more pictures of him today. Okay, Mark, Eric, Matt and myself, it is raining. What can we do on the inside today. That right, Mark would like the Star Ball pulled out and put some where. It really was put together well. By looking back at any thing that has been built here, these people wanted this to last forever. Which at this time is now. The reason for taking the ball out was. We have a new show now and it uses the whole Planetarium dome. So the star ball was right in the middle causing the people in the back rows not to see the whole thing. So Mark was thinking, the ball doesn't work any more. We have asked people from here and away to come and look at it. That has been over a year ago. It still not working. There is something wrong with the light bulb. So you can see we still have the Star Ball, but it is up front, out of the way. So it still looks good there too. 

That right, I got off of my butt and went for a bike ride.

That is right, I took my bike down to the Centre and filled up the tyres. They were pretty low. Then I came back and started to ride. I only got about 500 yards. came back home. Mean while asking God WHY? The reason was the chain has been so rusted. The links would not bend. So I got out some WD-40 and sprayed it , plus the rest of the bike. It seems okay now. I started out again, still trouble. I worked the links out. Now in good shape. I started out again, mean while I older guy was running and saw me and said keep it up. I did until the chain tighten up again. I stopped and work on it again. Plus it was so hard to peddle. I found out the rear wheel was rubbing on the side. After all that. I rode down towards Billy's home. Then I ran into some dogs. Kevin has told me before, when he rides around. He has had dogs chase him. I use to laugh. Not after yesterday. These guys really wanted to take a bite. The one below is after I came home and drove back down that way. I took a picture of this guy. He was just one of them. All the way near the end of the road. There was two like short legs. But boy can they run. I had to put it into high speed. 

Not sure where the little ones went. Maybe back in their yards. Sorry could not find them to show you how they were. Oh so the next time Kevin tells me about dogs chasing him. I will not laugh. Just tell him to carry a big stick. Not to hurt them, just let them know who the boss is. Oh that right I tried that with the little ones. They kept coming.  Not sure what to do next time. They sure were fast. 

This is a dog tick

The last couple of days I have notices them on Scooby. That right we have ticks at The Camp. Not sure how they come around. But they sure are a pain to him. Just by looking at them, they give me the willies. The next pictures are of what I took off of Scooby at the beach.

That right, they are sure ugly. Then after you get one, you squeeze them, they pop and are full of blood. During our time in the salt water. They were trying to survive. I took Scooby out away and held him up. Mean while his back end was down deep into the water. Those little guys tries to move up his back. I just kept killing them. One after another. I know I didn't get them all. But most of them. Got back home and gave him a bath. Then put some of this stuff called Front Line. You put that in the middle of their shoulder blades. Last time he had these it only took a day or so to kill them off. I looked this morning and he still has small ones in his skin. They will dead today.

 

How many people believe this?

The sad part is, are we listening? If you at any time read your Bible. That is how He speaks. I know I have heard others say, they have heard His voice. But I know as long a I read His Word. That is how He speaks to me. Just like the question I asked above, are we listening? 

This last week I had a chance to be the one to share during our devotion time at the ALC. At first I thought what can I share on two verses? The verses were: Galatians 3:13-14.

13:Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”^h 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

Now if you know anything about the Bible. This is why He came to to this earth. To die on the cross and then raise from the dead. 

I just went a little deeper on these two verses and found a lot of items about this. Over all folks, if you want to know Our Lord, REALLY, you need to study. I know myself, I read His Word, but do I study? Not as much as I should. Please take that time. I know I was blessed when I do. Plus listen to His Word by others teaching too. You know, GO TO CHURCH. We all need to have follow ship. 

As I look back, I have been very blessed

I am saying this because of how this man comes out and helps us. Mr Harrison over sees a paint store here in Nassau. He works fives days a week there. On every other week he has off on Fridays. Then goes in on Saturday. Well if you look back. He has been very much part of helping us out. The next story you can see him being our helper. I really think is is neat to see how our Lord uses people like him in my life. Just to take his day off and come out and say, what can I do for you?  That to me is a blessing. Thank you sir.

This turned out better than I thought it would.

Working on this room was not on my list of things to do. But as I was thinking, why not finish this up and more to the next item. Well I can tell you this. if someone ask me to repair their ceiling. I would rather go fight a alligator. I think you can under stand what I am trying to say. NO WAY. 

What happen was this ceiling was put in many years ago. Then back in 2007 or so. We needed more offices. So Patmos and crew added rooms to these all ready classroom. So the guys and girls that redid the walls and ceiling had to cut pieces out and make it look good. Now Mark, Eric, Harry and myself have not done ceiling before. But the neat thing is who looks at a ceiling any way? It looks okay now. Good thing we don't have earth shacks. Then this ceiling would not last to long. It is up and usable. Thank you guys, I know myself I would have never tried to make this happen. 

Why are we doing all this work for?

There really is two answers for that question. First on is to keep this place running the best it can. Then the next reason is. On September 19th to the 21st we will be celebrating our 20th year as the Adventure learning Centre. That means we will be inviting all kinds of people to come out and see. 

On the 19th there will be a Donor Reception. (restaurant)

On the 20th there will be a 20th Anniversary Celebration (ALC)

On the 21st is Open House & Family Fun Day (ALC) Open to the public 11 am to 6 pm.FREE.

Now by looking at the pictures above you can have a idea on How YOU can donate your funds? That right we as a ministry here in the Bahamas are looking for people to come out and help us celebrate.

I drive by this sign almost everyday.

It is so true, older men are a cause for most of the rapes that happen here. Last week or so, there was a 57 years old man convexed for having sex with a 9 year old girl. 

I use to laugh while driving by this sign, not any more. This sign is on East Street corner and Zion Road. (Cowpen)
