Well folks this is the auction that helps keep First Priority running. They do this each year to help fund their program. The gentlemen that started this is Chris Lane. Ever since he started back in the 90's Calvary as been part of it. I remember when we (Calvary) really came along side of them and I had a chance put up move able walls to make offices, I thing that was around 2000.
Well since those days they have become a very well known ministry. What they have been doing over these years is, have kids start up Bible studies in the school and collages. It has been a wonderful journey. They have seen 1000's of kids become Christians and even started their own groups clubs. We here at Calvary are very blessed to be able to help them out and do different things along side of their ministry.
As I am writing this, I remember even before we started church in our buildings now. Chris and I worked on a Christmas Tree Sale here in the parking lot before we even moved in there. That was around 1997 or 8. Man time is flying by.
Getting back to what happen last night. They make their goal and Chris was almost ready to cry, how happy he was to see so many people come out to support this ministry. It really was a wonderful time and just watching the folks bid on things, was a fun part. They were spending some money last night.
Oh more thing, if you ever go to a Ministry Auction, remember it is a ministry auction. NOT WALMART. That is what one of the guys told the people during the auction.
