Okay, what am I doing with a golf cart?

This belongs to a my neighbor's (Roy) brother, Bobby. He has had many people look at the light problem. What happens is while you are driving at night time, the lights dim when you push down on the accelerator. Which this is battery operator.

I thinking, how hard can this be? It is 12 volt lights and that is it? Well as I open up the battery compartment. I see wires hanging all over the place. Okay not that big of a job?
Well it tuned out, it was a bigger job than I thought. Like I tell anyone about fixing things. I am not a master of no skill, but I will give it a shot.
Well after taking the lights out and redoing the wires. It still dims down. Roy stopped by to see how it was going.. We went on line with You Tube, plus just put in dims light on club golf cart. It gave us some ideas. But it didn't solve the problem. Mean while, I was putting the lights back in, I dropped one of the lens.
Guess what, it broke. Roy and I climbed into my truck and took a ride over to this golf cart dealer. I showed him the lens, he laughed. He said this is pretty old. Give me a minute. He came back with a used one. Handed it to me. How much, I asked. Don't worry about it. No cost.
Well I gave it a shot and that is all I can do.  Bobby stopped by and asked how it went?
I told him what I did and he said you tried.
Hey I made a couple of bucks,

Got a great deal on Thanksgiving evening. Thinking MAYBE NOT?

This is just one of the items I got on Thanksgiving evening. This sound bar only cost me $29.00. Now thinking how hard can this be to hook up?

I bought these cables, $3.98. Thinking this is the cat's meow.
This should work great?
I brought them back home and hooked the two wire up. One side into the TV. The other side in the sound bar. I tried and tried, thinking maybe I did something wrong? It just would not work. Now I am thinking what is the problem?
I stopped at Walmart and saw a young guy there in the camera department. Okay I am doing something wrong and I need some advice. I explained to him what I did and why doesn't it work?
He asked me if I plugged the wires into the out put side of the TV or input side? Thinking now, WOW, that is IT? I am plugging into the output side, where you would use a DVD player. Wow, what a fool I have been? Okay what do I need? the young man walked over and showed me. Still a $3.98 item.

I plugged them in and guess what? IT WORKS NOW. So if you get a sound bar for Christmas, Now you know what to buy.
When you think of it, wow how can a input work on output sound?
Praise the Lord, I am not loosing my mine.

Trying out a new breakfast place. Brooklyn's, I think that is what it is called.

Roy loves to drive around and try new places. He told me about this place about a week or so. We took a drive and was not disappointed at all.

Very friendly and just a nice place. The bagels were delicious. Their coffee was really good too. Over all the prices were a little on the high side. But I will be back.
Now off for a ride. Roy loves going down to the Jetty on Hutchinson Island.

These pelicans are always sitting here. Right across there is a cleaning station for cleaning your fish after you caught them. The white ones are so beautiful.

There are always folks down here fishing. Maybe down the road I will go out and buy a fishing pole +. Not sure if I have the patience to sit there and WAIT.

As we drove by this pavilion. I think of the family times we had down on, Spanish River Park in Boca Raton. As my family would come on down of over to visit. We would get a pavilion and have a wonderful day at the beach.
As Thanksgiving has passed, I know myself how I miss my family very much.
But one day I will see them again.

On Friday evening I had a wonderful visit.

On thanksgiving I got  text, asking if I would like to go have dinner with a couple of my old friends? Jeremy and his wife, Rachel. He was telling me that they were up in the Orlando area and driving back home on Friday night.
They were on the turnpike. Thinking where would be a good place to eat at? I was told a little while back from a coupe that lives in the park here, That Cowboys has some good ribs.
Okay let us all meet there at Cowboys.

Hey these two are a neat couple. Rachel is getting ready to go to school for becoming a nurse. As we sat and tried to get some what caught up on all that has been happening. Jeremy was telling me how much it cost to go to school to become a nurse. I was little surprised, ($3000.00+)
Plus he gave me the load down on what is happening at Calvary FT. Some people are moving on to better things and that is what a growing church does. I remember at different staff meetings. Our pastor would say things like this. We each and everyone of us have seasons and sometimes they are long ones and some short.
It really was fun to just hang out a little while.

I have never had alligator for a shack? It was not bad. It tasted like chicken.
Well they left to drive back to Pompano. Myself I stopped at Home Depot and checked out the Christmas displays. They really did I nice job on that.
As the Christmas Season has started, please remember what it is all about Jesus Christ. Not the displays or the gifts. He came to this world so we could have salvation.

Yes Thanksgiving has come and gone, but.

Well on Thanksgiving morning. I got up early and went to McDonald's for breakfast. Then came back and said my good byes to Bonita. As I was driving home I saw the sun and I just thought that was really beautiful. There was very little traffic traveling east on 60.

I got home and was pleasantly surprise to see Thanksgiving Parade on, live. I watched that for a little while. Then did some house cleaning.

Around 2:30pm I went over to Bobby and Michelle's home for a Thanksgiving dinner. There was Michelle (left) then Pat and Roy and then Bobby. We sat down and a very wonderful dinner and just hung out for a couple of hours. Watched a little football. It sure is fun hanging out with these guys. They always have something to talk about.
Had our dessert and I was on my way to meet a friend to go do the Early Black Friday at 6 pm at Walmart.

We got there and really was not sure what to do. So we walked around a little and asked a couple of the workers there, what is needed to get some great deal. Found out we had around 30 minutes to wait. So I stood in line and just had some nice people around us. It really looked like it was going to be a crazy time at 6 pm. But as we stood in line. People were some what respectful.

You can see here, this guy has three (3) TV. We got a couple of items we were wanting.

Now the problem is, HOW DO YOU CHECK OUT? That took a long wait. But as we were standing at the cashier's.  we saw a couple of more items we thought about getting. I picked up a phone to buy, While in line I read what I was getting. Not really what I wanted. So I put it down along the cashier's roll. Then saw a tablet. Hey I need that. So I got that too.
We stopped at Starbucks and had a coffee, then part our ways.

I got up the next morning, thinking WHY did I buy this tablet? I will be taking it back today.
I really hope and pray you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and looking forward in seeing what Santa is bring to me for Christmas.

I really hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I left my home around 7 am on Wednesday and got to Bonita's around 9 am. We sat around and got a little caught up. Then Greg pulled in around 11 am.
Around 12 noon. Greg and took a ride to go get our COOKED DINNER.
As we were driving along.
You might not see what I saw here? There were two people outside of McDonald's dressed up as a Big Mac and a box of Fries. It really caught my eye. I even blew my horn to support them. My cousin Greg thinks I am little crazy already.
So as we were driving to Publix to pick up our Thanksgiving COOKED Dinner.. I was asking the young lady there, when did they cook our meal? I asked, yesterday or was it this morning? She said she was not sure? So the guy came out with our large box of food. I asked him about when did they cook this? He said Buterball cooked it. Now myself. I was thinking, they told us to pick it up at 11:45am. Thinking this is just getting out of the oven and we should be all set. The guy open the box and showed us, all we got. I thinking great. I am hungry.

Open the box up again at Bonita's home and picked up the turkey. IT WA FROZEN. Okay reading the label. It was telling us to put the turkey in the refreg for two days to thaw. Okay I am wanting my dinner at 2pm today?
I call Publix and after being switched to a couple of different people on the phone. I got the manger. He said no problem, just bring it back and they will give us a thawed one. Okay I guess we really don't have to much of a choice? Bonita and I went in and went tot he back and picked up the NEW turkey. Bonita asked, is it frozen? I dropped it on the floor and it bounced. I went up front and talked to the store manger. Asking him how can I have dinner today? he said, go home and run HOT WATER over is for about two (2) hours.
Walking away, thinking I am not very happy now. Got back to Bonita's house and put it in the sink. Changed the ran hot water over it. Let it set in hot water. Changed the water a couple of times. It is thawed enough? Hopfully. Put it in the oven for two hours and it was okay.

Okay dinner is served. It was not bad. Next time, we will buy a frozen turkey. I will let it thaw out in a couple of days. Then make the rest of the meal. The fittings were, really not that good.
But we enjoyed it and laughed afterwards. I spent the night and drove back home on Thursday morning.

On Monday as I was spending time with family.

The restaurant that we had lunch at was called the Inlet Grill. I needed to use the restroom. As I looked around I saw four (4) paper towel dispensers.
I guess the people really wash their hands many times? It was just kinda of different to see.
I will be on my way over to Winter Haven this morning. As it is almost Thanksgiving. We will have our dinner today. My one cousin, Greg (Bonita's brother) will be coming over from Largo, Fl. It will just be us three (3) Bonita, Greg and I. The reason we are doing this on today, is. Tomorrow will be a lot of traffic and I really am looking forward in going shopping tomorrow night. You know the Black Friday on Thanksgiving night starts?

I had a nice visit with one of my sisters and her daughter.

Well this is Kathy and her daughter Debbie. They live up north in Buffalo. They have been coming south for many years, to get away from that cold weather. Debbie was showing me a picture of their back yard. It was taken yesterday, by her brother Eddie. It had about a 1" of snow.
Hey these two go on cruises, together and just enjoy hanging out..
I had a chance to ask many questions about what and where and how is the rest of the family doing? It was a little bit of a eye opener. Folks time does not set still. Things keeps on going each and everyday. As we are getting older, I try to put faces to names and say. I think I remember?
We went down to the Jetty area on Hutchinson Island. Had a nice lunch. Then took a walk along the Jetty itself.

These pelicans are really just hanging out.
We got back to my place and hung out for about another hour or so. During that time I had many questions for Kathy, on Medicare. I found out their program up in North is different than down here. So she explained what she had and we compared notes. I think I know which one to get now. Well they are staying in Pompano Beach area. So they had to get back.
I really enjoy having them up here and showing them around too. I am very content and just loving this place so much. Hopefully one of these days they will wake up and stay let us move to Florida.

I am not sure if I really am saving money?

After church I usually go to this place called Aldi. Here I find some great prices on fruit and veggies.

You can see I got bananas, pears, tomatoes, cucumber and kiwis. Folks I most of the time I shop at Walmart. But when I can get fruit for good prices like this. Why not drive a little while. The reason I am saying, am I really saving any money? Well yesterday I didn't go to Calvary Port Saint Lucie for church. That is about two miles away from Aldi. I went to Arches, instead, which is around 15 miles away. That is where Pastor David teaches. So for me to drive from there to Aldi, am I spending more on gas? Maybe I spent around a gallon or so?
It really doesn't make that much difference. Hey it was a beautiful day to drive.
I am not sure if where you live what kind of temps you are dealing with. I went to bed in sweat pants and shirt. But this morning around 4 am I got up and looked at my thermostat and saw it was 59 inside. I have not tried the furnace yet. So this morning I put it on and it took around hour or so to get the temp up to 69. Which is great for me. I did know it was going to get colder last night. I did look at my app on my phone at 4 am and it was 46 outside.
Hey folks I am so blessed to call this place my home and I just want to praise Him each and everyday.

Helping a sister out.

Just before the hurricane Mathew came to town. I was helping out a sister in Christ. She asked me to help her put up her hurricane shutters. Which was no problem. I really enjoy helping her out. Well while putting up the shutter on this picture window. I put the screw to close to the edge of the glass. While standing there, we heard a cracking sounds. But I was thinking it was the plastic shutter I was putting up. But as I was driving back home. She called me and said that the picture window is shattered. I went back the next day and sure enough. I broke the window. So we cleaned it all up and put the shutter back up.
Okay meanwhile we both tried to find someone to replace the glass. Well the prices ranged from $400.00 and up. Wow, now what. So we both started looking at different ideas. I was telling her, go ahead and have someone come in and replace it. I will help with the cost. Well she got this idea one day. Why not put a sliding glass door in? She told me that at one of her other places she lived, there was a sliding glass door 96" wide. We looked on line and found them for $400. and up again. She said let us try Habitat, Restore. So w went around to the ones around here. No one had anything that big. She had a class to go to down in Broward County. She she stooped by the one down town. She found three of them. So on Thursday, last week,we drove down south. Stopped at a couple of Habitat, Restores on the way down. They didn't have any that wide. So got to Fort Lauderdale and found four of them. Checked them all out and found the one she wanted for $30.00. Now we knew the window size was 48 3/4" This door is 49" She bought and we got it back to her place, safe and sound.
Okay now how do we get it smaller? Thinking of taking the one sides off. Tried to and found out is is all one piece. Okay let us try to see how far off it is? Had to take out a couple of round headed medal screws.Okay the moment of true? It sled right in with no problem at all.Had to push it, BUT IT FIT.
Okay what happen? How did this door shrink down 3/4" ? We both believe God made it happen. That right, what else could have happen? This is all medal and it doesn't bend. The frame it is going into a medal one too. Well folks we just praised Him and thanked Him right there on the spot.
Now there is some opening on the sides still. The door is 80" wide for this window area. The opening is 84" So we built up the side with pieces of lumber, plus even used the weather stripping.

It fits perfecting.

As I left on Friday night, thinking wow, this is so very good to say He made it happen. I was telling my neighbor Roy about, how it fits. He said I just don't know how to measure? I would debate him, but why? It really was His doing.

So as we finished putting up the last trim. I just am blown away how good it looks.

Before I got there on Saturday morning she already had the trim up on the inside.
The total she spent was around $80.00. I was willing to have them put a new one in and the cost would have been $400. plus. WOW PRAISE HIM.

How many times have you seen a LIVE Armadillo?

I was out riding and while pulling into our community, I saw him or her? It was some what funny to see how they dig with their nose. He was not scared of me at all. he even started coming closer. But I walked away. God has made them some what cute too.

Well I will be starting all over again on the millage. The battery went dead and after pulling the old one out. I didn't replace it right away. That is okay,
Hey I am really enjoying our cooler night up here. This morning it was 58 outside. Inside was 64.
I guess my instillation is not that good.

You can see I even got my sleeping bag out to use. I guess my next purchase will be a couple of blankets?

This is Roy and Mary Jo.

As I was telling you yesterday, this is the wall we worked on. I am so tickled pink, how good it came out. It really was a joy to work along side with Roy. As we were finishing things up. she asked a couple of other small jobs. Which we had the time and the means. We all piled into he car and went shopping, at Home Depot. Got there and she bought a new faucet for the kitchen. Plus spray paint, that is to repaint her medicine cabinet. Plus a tack strip.Okay got back, the patching of the wall is dry. So Roy worked on painting the new wall. I replace her kitchen faucet. Then took down the medicine cabinet doors. Cleaned them up a little and repainted them. Repaired four tiles of Armstrong vinyl. They were under the refrigerator.
At the end of the day, we all looked on and said wow it looks great.
I am very blessed to have Roy to be able to help me out and just be someone to hang out with.
At the end of the day we both made a couple of bucks.
We were talking last night, boy that was some what fun and we both felt good about the work.

Roy and I had a chance yesterday to help out one, in the park here.

About week ago or so. Roy and I went over to Mary Jo's house to look at some water damage. As I pulled the molding away from the wall I saw that the boards were pretty much all rotten out. As I told Mary Jo,this might be a bigger job after we get inside and see?
So after I felt better, Yesterday Roy and I took some tools and said let us see what happens?

You can see the floor itself is some what rotten too.

We already pulled down all the water damaged board across the top.

Had to cut out 32"X 23" plywood to fit inside this space. Mary Jo had the plywood. But Roy and I drove over to Home Depot and got the rest of the materials. You know studs, paint and foam to put along the outside siding and the new studs. Instillation and base board and paneling too.

We got the board on top up and then put a stud in the middle. Then put some 2" X 4" long the bottom and top to be able to nail the paneling too.

This was the last of the molding that needed to be pulled off. I didn't get a picture of the paneling up, But it is up and it should be ready to finish the base board and molding. Then paint it and it will be finished.
It really is kinda fun working with Roy. He seems to always have a quit answer and most the time if it funny one too.
Prayerfully we should get this puppy done today.
At the edn we should make a couple of bucks too.

I had a opportunity to help out my cousin.

It has been a while since I have trimmed and cleaned out her gutters too.  Oh, the reason I am here now is because Jeanne and her sisters pl...
