Okay my day was doing well. Roy and I finished up the hurricane shutters. So I left him off and I started doing Door Dash. I made one delivery, then I got a call from Jeanne. She was asking me if I canceled, helping out at the food building? I told her, I did. I e mail the over seer. Well she, Jeanne told me that the woman over seer, dropped of a ticket for me to get in. So I guess she didn't get my e mail. Okay back up a little. The week before Jeanne got a e mail, asking if we could help out this year at the FFA Booth? Jeanne signed up and then realized she had a doctor's appointment the day needed help.
So Jeanne cancelled her time to serve. She told me to do the same. I thought, e mailing would do the trick? I guess WRONG. No problem, I think on Door Dash I made $11.25. pay for my gas to get out at the Country Fair Grounds. That is the St. Lucie Fair Grounds.
Yes it is our fair for the year, we have been helping out there for the last three or four years. It really is some fun and a great time to hang out with the students that are there. Plus walk around and just enjoy the sites.
Okay driving out there is a little while. But when you see the Bridge That Goes No Where, next left.
I really not sure WHY they have this bridge? Maybe they thought down the road they will need to expand the parking lot???
Jeanne told me this has been like this for many years. Just look and you can see,
IT GOES NO WHERE.
This is the back entrance (for staff and who ever volunteers) I drove in and there was no one at the gate. So I still have a ticket to get in.
This is just one of the schedules for the events that are going on.
When I got here, everything was pretty much set up and ready to go. But we need to wait on the Country Inspector to check out the inside before we open the windows.
Well this was my station. Tea (Sweet/Unsweet) and Lemon Aid. There were three ladies working this station with me.
After we opens up, it got very busy, you know Feast Or Famine. I filled the cups with ice. The two younger girls, filled the cups up with the drink of choice. The other woman took the porker chip from the customer, to pay for it. On the other side it where Miss Miller took the money in to pay for everything we sold there.
We have hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, chicken tenders, roast beef, I think there was more. But I didn't go over that way. It really was fun time helping out. I got there at 3p and worked until 7pm. I know the guys behind the grill were hot and tried. Over all I did have some fun.
Well my shift was over, time to get something to eat?
Jeanne and I really enjoy these hot dogs. So I sat down the relaxed a little and enjoyed my dinner.
Ok time to walk around and see what is going on.
I saw this trailer, Jo Jo's This is a place for wings. Jeanne and I go to their place of business, in Fort Pierce every once and while. They do have some great tasting wings. I have picked up many orders there for Door Dash too and saw this trailer there in the parking lot. Thinking, where are they going to us this trailer? NOW I KNOW. I walked up and talked with one of the folks inside, telling them how nice it looks and asked how is it going? She told me busy. That is some great news.
I only walked around the food court area. I need to find my baby a Funnel Cake.
I found the older couples trailer, this is where we usually go to. They are very friendly and their cakes are great.
The sad part is, you need to eat them right after you get them. I bought two, one for my baby and myself. Well I got home and we split one and I put the other one in the microwave. To eat later on. I pulled it out this morning and it really doesn't look that great now. But maybe tonight we will have some desert?
This is the place to get steak tips. Every year we stop and get a order. They sure do a business. there.
I heard over the speakers that there is a rodeo tonight at 7:30pm. You can see it is filling up. Maybe this next week we will make it out here to see one.
Well, time for me to get home. I am tried and just want to watch a little TV and relax with my baby.
Over all this night was a lot of fun. Just knowing I had a part of helping out was worth the trip. Prayerfully this next week we can help out again?
Well folks today is Monday and the week is upon us.
Today their a couple of guys coming out the work on our well. For a the last three or four months we have not used the well to water the grass. Every time it is on, the water is not sprinkling like it should.
When it first starts up, great, but after a few minutes it's squirt is not there. So Jeanne has a student in her class that, his dad owns a irrigation company in Fort Pierce here. He told me he would be here early this morning. It is 7:59 am no show, YET.
Oh well I can do some more work around here today and see what happens.
Prayerfully you ALL had a wonderful week-end and had a chance to spend some time with Our Lord?
I know yesterday morning we watched Pastor Craig on line. He was talking about these days, how uncertain our times are during this last year and all that is going on in The Ukraine.
Please keep this all this in your prayers. TIMES NOT GOING TO GET BETTER FOR A WHILE.
