The two weeks before, we were at Antique Show at the Indian River Fair Grounds. While there we stopped at this guy's tables. He was talking about how he auctions off art work. So Jeanne was telling him about a piece she has from her mom. So Paul (Auctioneer) came to our house to see what she has. He looked at it and told her, that we should give it to him and he will auction it off. He really not sure how uch she will get.
This is a Highway Men art piece. Paul pretty much auction off their work.
This is Jeanne's mom piece of art. You can see this is not looking like one of their pieces.
How did Jeanne's mom get this? Well I guess back in the id 50's. These Highway Men would knock on folks doors and asked if they would like to buy a painting? I guess she asked if he could paint a picture from a post card? Jeanne's mom is from Korea. She had some post cards from there. So he painted it and this is what she got. Like Paul told Jeanne, maybe there is someone out there who loves Asian art and would buy it? Hey she doesn't have anything to loose.
So we will see what happens at the next auction? I think the next auction is at the end of Feb?
These are the pictures Jeanne likes.
So we walked around the Gallery and you can see he has many items that are up for auction sale.
So while being there we watched the auction and grab some snacks they had there.
Mean while Jake and his girl friend Jan stopped by. Jeanne bought her son, Jake a couple of dress shirts for Christmas. But they were a little bit to big for him. So after our time here, we will be driving over to the store where she got the shirts. To exchange them. So we thought Jake and Jan would like to see a auction? They watched for a little while and were ready to get going. After they got here, I took a walk around the mall, I will share about that tomorrow or the net day?
Hey I can tell you this, the temp outside is 68 right now at 8am.
Today Roy and I have a couple of jobs to work on and prayerfully we will make a few bucks.
