Guess where we are?

Bamboo Shack. Yes I know it is not Friday night. But this last Friday was Good Friday. Pretty much every thing on this island was closed. So we thought why not go enjoy some god old food there? The sad part is they didn't have their jerk chicken ready when we got there. So I guess was had to have a breast snack. It was SOOOO GOOOD. Oh that right this is not KFC? They say that.

No Bob is not taking a nap?

We just finished replacing the tail pipe on the back of the train. The reason that had to happen was, this Monday coming, tomorrow. We are using the train for our Easter Fun Day. This is the biggest ride we have and the most used during the fun day. So Bob notice that the tail pipe was all rusted out and it needed replacing. So yesterday, Saturday. We went out trying to find a store open. The reason I say this is there was not to many open yesterday. The reason is it is a long week-end holiday and most Bahamians will take that time off. Plus it is Saturday too. They usually close early on that day. 12 noon. So we found a 90 deg pipe and put another piece on it, flex pipe. It is up and running again. Thank you Lord for Bob and his keeping his eyes open to see tings like this.

Do you see where my truck is?

Well this morning while cutting my finger nails, sitting on the back of my truck. I heard a small bang. Not knowing where it came from. Then I heard the pump kick on in the pump house. Thinking why would that go on right after hearing a small bang? Well Bob was with me and we looked inside and saw that our new system we put in about three weeks ago, was spraying water out of it. I shut the pump down and saw a small crack in the lid. Boy God is so GOOD TO ME. The reason I say this is, remember I was sitting on my tail gate of my truck. I could have already left for the day. No I was there and we pulled the system out and just ran a pipe like it was before. Thank you Lord for letting me hear that small bang. The reason is the pump would have run all day long and burned out. Plus what a mess it would be to clean up. I think that is so neat how He works in my life. It is up and running again.

Just look at all the churches that are around us.

These churches are right around the corner from where we live. It is funny and sad to see how many they really are. Just on Mashall Road there is 6 churches. Then round the corner there is a couple of more. Hey the neat thing is how many had people at the Good Friday Services. As I drove around  to take theses pictures I was thinking, why do we have such a crime problem here? Like I said there is a church on every corner. During Sunday and Holy Days they are full.
I know over in the states we have the same problems and just as many churches too.
As these people go to church are they really seeking Our Lord Jesus Christ? Or is it just a ting to do and say I went to church. My prayer for all of US is that we are getting closer to HIM not the tings of this world. Today is a day that the brothers in Christ morn, Maybe we should be in morning too?
We as Christians have the honor to know the truth, are we sharing the TRUE TRUTH with our families and friends? Jesus Christ is OUR LORD AND SAVOR, PLEASE SEEK HIM TODAY AND KNOW FOR SURE WHERE YOU STAND. You can only stand on one side of the fence, the true side or the one we think is true? Jesus Christ is the TRUE Side. Please ask Him into your heart today and know for sure.
My heart hurts each day to think about the ones I love and they DON'T KNOW HIM. Please make sure you do.
Tomorrow is the day set a side to reflex on what He did for US. He died and was put into a tomb, BUT THAT SUNDAY HE ROSE AGAIN. That is what and why He did what He did. He dead for OUR SINS.
REMEMBER WHAT TOMORROW IS ALL ABOUT.

Last night was our Seder Dinner at Abundant Life Church

Now remember what Jesus and His disciples did the night before He was portrayed? When you get a chance PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SCRIPTURES: Matthew 26:17 to 74. This area of Scriptures are of that night. Passover He had with His men. That is what GOOD FRIDAY is all about.

We went to Abundant Life Church here in Nassau. The Pastor set this up to have a Passover Dinner there. They got a hold of a Messianic Rabbi: Harlon L. Picker, that lives here. It was so wonderful go over what and why and reason the Passover Dinner is so important. Rabbi, first started out with blowing of the Yemenit Shofar, horn. Then the young ladies lit the candles. Then we started out going through the whole Passover Dinner. It really was neat to see how much the Scriptures a line up with all Jesus did and WHY. He is the Passover Lamb.

 Please my family and friends. This is the time of the year that we all need to examine our hearts and to see what we believe in? If you are still trying to do it in your own way. That is not the answer.

 Read in john 14:6-7: Jesus told him, (Thomas) I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.(Jesus) If you had known who I am, then you would have known my Father is. From now on you know him and have seen him. 

My prayer is that every one that reads this will NOW KNOW THE TRUTH.

After we put the wires u. We think we need to use more cement. The reason the wires are hanging low already. But it looks great.

This was a student in Biolgy Class test

Students in a Biology class were taking their final exam.The last question was:'Name seven advantages of Mother's Milk.' The question was worth 70 points.One student, in particular, was hard put to think of seven advantages.However, he wrote:1) It is perfect formula for the child.2) It provides immunity against several diseases.3) It is always the right temperature.4) It is inexpensive.5) It bonds the child to mother, and vice versa.6) It is always available as needed.And then the student was stuck. Finally, in desperation, just before thebell rang, he wrote:7) It comes in two attractive containers and it's high enough off the groundwhere the cat can't get it.He got an A.

Look at what is up and running?

This trailer has been in the back woods for many years. Eric and Mark came up with a plan to fix it and make it usable for the Fun Day on Easter Monday. So Mark,Eric Bob,Tim and myself have been working on this for a while now. Yesterday we took it for a test run. So loaded up our staff and went around the back. It feels and looks good and we are now ready for the Fun day.
I have to give Bob a BIG thanks for all he did on this. He had to weld most of every thing. The reason is the frame and body was pretty much all rusted out. So THANK YOU BOB  for all your hard work and willingness to push forward and make it happen.

Friday night was a time to let your hair down and jump around.

At Calvary Bible Church, was some fun for the youth. They had set up a (like) Rave, back in the states they are not for Christians. But this one was. It was all Christian songs and rap too. I went with some people that are staying at the Camp now. Mike and his mom, Cheryl and Kevin and myself. It really was very loud and smokey. But over all I real think we all had a great time. Cheryl and myself stood on the side and moved with the music and even did some jumping too. But this really was for the kids and I was watching Kevin and Mike, they had a ball. Mike kept his hands in the air most of the night. Over all I wish and pray that every one that heard the Word has asked Jesus into their hearts and live for Him. The Word of God was pretty much spoken all night long and every song I heard was about Him. So this was a great time to let our youth hear about Jesus and even make a stand for Him too.

It sure good to have a old friend around to help out

Yes my old friend Harri is back. He has been having some problems with one of his eyes. So he had to stay home a couple of weeks. His eye is all better and he is willing to do some work. Plus him and his wife have been out of town too. It sure good to have a guy like Harri around. he is willing to do what ever is needed at the time. He doesn't  like to paint. I understand why too. He over sees a paint store here and sees paint every day. 

So today we had a couple of jobs to do, one was to dig out a couple of holes for new clothes line poles. Then cut down a tree that was leaning on Cabin #3. So we made it happen, finished both of them. Looks great too.

Hey guess what we did today?

This door is now behind in the new bath house. Yes we have a new laundry room back there. I am so blessed to have Tim come over here and helps us. I really try to have a challenge job for him most time. He loves to work with wood and does a nice job too.

What is Vex? I believe this is a page set aside to air peoples problems and concerns. Reading it some days it even give me a laugh or two. Bahamian people write the same way they talk. That is what I get out of it too. There are tings they talk about that are so true too. Just take a minute to read a couple of them.

I have some great news for all

Yesterday Bob,Eric,Mark and myself got the old spring out of the old solar bus and put it into the new Solar Bus. It was a long day and dirty job. During the day, Bob and myself had to pull apart and redo this and that. After lunch it it seem to be working. But Eric and Mark came out and gave us a helping hand or two. It really was all of our skills came together. We had to straighten out the U bolts,take a hanger off the new bus and put the old one on. It was a lot of work. But at the end I say thank you Jesus for this and all He did to make it work out. Before Bob and I went home, we went for a drive and it seems to be good as it was before the springs broke. I am very much thankful for the extra help and how it all fill together. 

Kevin's birthday yesterday. he is now 18 years old

It is so nice to get together and have a piece of cake and sing Happy Birthday. We has family around the Camp here, I am so blessed. Mindy made the cake and we get to eat it. I really think Kevin and I had a great day yesterday. We went to church and then came home and had soup for lunch. Laid around for a couple of hours and then went to the movies. We saw Burt Wondersome. It was funny, but dumb too. When we got back home, we went for a bike ride to Billy's home. That was good time to get my old body out again and use something I have not for a while. Muscles???? Still a good day to spend with my son.

Okay this was our night out,

The third Saturday night of the month we get together to have a nice meal and enjoy some people in sharing. This is what we call our Singles night out. Sometimes we meet here or go out to dinner and have a nice time eating other people's food. Well this night was a night at Calvary Bible. Kevin had a chance to over see the games, you know ice breakers. He used some questions from the Bible. Not to hard. Then we played another game Veda had. That was two groups line up and then one of the person that is in the  group to run down to the end of the room and write a word. The plan was to make a sentence. WE won that one.
Then after eating we had a chance to sing a couple of praise songs. Daren was person to share last night. Over all a good time.
