As Janice was driving I noticed that my phone battery was running low. So I tried to charge it up and make it through the evening. But that didn't happen.
After we parked on Whitehead Street. We found a parking space. For 4 hours it cost $16.00. But it was worth it. As walking towards Mallory Square. We passed this statue of the Sailor and Young Nurse kissing in (New York City). I have seen I have seen these statues at other big cities. I even think I saw one on the west coast when I was with Don? What this is a statue of these two kissing. The point of the whole thing is. Right after World War II was done. A guy from Time Magazine took a picture of these two people kissing in New City. It has been a symbol of the end of World War II.
As we were walking I saw all these dollar bills hanging from ceiling in this one bar.
Janice was telling me about this key lime store. Kermit's So we stopped in and they had all kinds of free samples. Cookies, candy and muffins and anything like that had key lime in it.
This guy in the light green hat, is Kermit himself. He was walking his dog in the park there. I wish I took a picture of the dog, he or she was a beautiful beast.
I guess we were walking along the Water Front Wharf on the north side of the key.
It was getting time for dinner and I know the kids really enjoyed this place before. The reason I say that is I heard Conley asking his grandma, can we eat at the Conch Republic. So we walked in and had a wonderful meal there. There was even a kids menu. This is were my battery on my phone went dead. So I asked Janice if I could take pictures with her phone? She handed it over to me and I took many more pictures.
We walked around a couple of shops and looked at tourist things. You know T shirts and hanging things.
As the evening was winding down, I notice her phone was about to die too.
I pulled out my phone, to see if there was one more picture in her to take? It worked and this is the most popular tourist spot. Sloppy Joe's Bar.
I got back to the rental house and tried to down load the pictures I took with Janice's phone. Then e mail them to myself. But it didn't work. So when Janice gets back from there I will try again.
Remember now this is still Friday. There is still two more days on my vacation.
