Well folks it is Halloween.

At Calvary Chapel as staff we all have a chance to crave out a pumpkin and put it on display. This way the whole staff can vote on it and really see who is talented. I am not sure who's is the best. today as I go in I think they will have the winners setting on a table upstairs in the office area?
It really is fun to come here and be part of this body of Christ we are. It is in all fun that is it.

During the morning we had a health fair happening here too.  They did this last year too. What it is, Humana comes in with other people to put our staff through health testing. You know blood pressure, sugar, weight and height. Even had computers set up to put all our information in and conpair where we stand with other peoples. Like are we taking good care of ourselves and eating right and just overall, doing what is best for our bodies. I really thought in the last year I have been taking good  care, but since I use to smoke and drink I am conpaired to a 64 year old. I am only 63?
BUT FOLKS I AM FEELING THE BEST I HAVE IN YEARS.

Folks this is a lot of walking.

This was on Sunday at work.

Last night I sure did some walking again. It is funny how many miles I ride or walk. It seems like the weight never comes off. I know I have lost some,
I am very blessed to be able to walk around the property each day and do God's work there.

If I could be a encourager, Get that old bicycle out and go for a ride.

The reason this is my first picture, The wind was in my face all the way south. Which is a good thing. I will have the wind at my back coming home. This is going over the Inter Coastal, looking north side.

Looking west on Las Olas Boulevard.

Pretty neat clock, it is called the Gravity Clock. This is at the Discovery Center.

This is looking at the New River I think?

I have known the folks that run this shop for many years. They use to be missionaries in the Philippines. This is Robin and Mark's art shop. It is located in the New River Walk. The sad part is most of the shops have moved out an gone other places. But Mark and his wife believe this is where they belong for now

To try to bring in new people to their shop, They are working along side of one of the Seminal Indians to build a wooden canoe. They are trying to draw people in that would never come down this way.
Many years ago, in the 90's this place was rocking. There were many place to eat an just enjoy different shops here. but since 2008 this place is pretty much dead now. There are only a few shops open any more.

You can see I am heading back east.

This is looking out to the south on Las Olas bridge.

Pretty nice looking car. It is a shame to see it on a flat bed.

This is road work has been going on for many months here. But they say at the end of fall it will be done? They are redoing the sea walls along A1A.

Okay now I have done well riding the bike. I stopped at McDonald's and got a Quart Pounder Deluxe. Look it has veggies on it.

This day was a so neat. I am very blessed to say no flat tires or problems at all. Thank you Lord for the safety and well being.

Quiet breaks with GOD

Quiet Breaks With God
from The Daniel Plan 365-Day Devotional

A quiet break with God is a gift to recharge your body and soul

I was very worried. But Your comfort brought me joy. — Psalm 94:19 NIrV

At least once a day, go out in your backyard or close your office door or sit in your car, and be quiet for a few minutes, tuning into God. You could just silently sit in His presence, or you could meditate on a verse like Psalm 18:2,

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom take refuge.

When you feel your pressure going up, stop and say, “God, I want to tune in to you again. I want to focus on You.” Take these mini-breaks during the day to refocus on the greatness of God.

Maintaining new habits is hard, and stress can make you slip back into your old ways. You start thinking, Maybe I should just coast for the next couple of months. But coasting is a downhill journey! A five-minute break with God can recharge you and keep you moving onward and upward. When will you take a five-minute break today to be quiet before God?

Food for Thought

A quiet break with God is a gift to recharge your body and your soul.

Good morning all, Some days are rougher than others. I know when that happens in my life. I need to sit down and just chill for a minute or two. Plus while I am working I am asking Him to give me the strength  and wisdom to do my best. But I blow it just as much as any of you out there. But by His grace we can move forward and say, let us try again.

Last night at the church we had Underground Reptile come out.

It is so neat to see how young children are interested in reptiles. This place called Underground Reptiles is located on Hillsborg and Power Line Road. I have known the owner Ryan for many years. We use to volunteer together at Calvary back when we were at Gateway.
Our Family Ministry likes to bring them out and just let the children enjoy checking different reptile out. So after service I had a chance to go see what they brought to show them.
I am very blessed to be able to call Calvary my place of worship and work.

Just enjoying a beautiful day. Riding a bicycle is so rewarding.

That is so neat to see, these two dogs are his power. They are only puppets, but good ones.

Folks if you have not been down to the beach in a while, please take a ride and just enjoy the breezes and how beautiful the weather is at this time of the year.

It really neat to watch our new school being built right here on the same property that the old school is standing.

This was the first part of putting up the walls (Oct. 29th) at our NEW WESTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL. Our Principal, Mr. Alfonso tells us that all of...
