Last night was about our Mission Conference. Finial evening.

It really is neat to be part of a church like Calvary Bible, the reason is they really love their missionaries. Well that was what our time last night was about. We had a nice dinner, chicken spouse, johnny cake. I had a chance to get some what caught up with Pastor Joesph, he has a church here in Nassau. It is only about three miles away from our place. I have brought groups to his church many times. They are missionaries that take a week off from their lives and fly over here and help others out. So many people have worked on his church. He is in need of putting up a new ceiling. This last year they put on a new roof. Okay others I talked with were Martin Pinder. He is part of New Tribe Ministry. He over sees the paper work and what ever else is needed to make that office run. He has been in Venezuela. Like I said he has been there for over 18 years. He is a Bahamian and to me that is really neat to see.
After having my little talks with people, we started the church ting. Singing, worshiping and hearing about all God is doing in these guys lives.
Martin was the first to share. Then a guy named Eric Fox. He is the over seer of the place called Teen Challenge, here in Nassau. Which is right across the street from our ALC Camp. I have known Eric now for over 8 years. His job is to take teen age kids off the street that have been in trouble or are about ready to get into it. He has started a ministry that goes into the areas, like Kemp Road. There he doesn't preach to them, he just tells them what life is really like with out a gang. The reason I say gang is, that is where most of our trouble boys are getting into. They need some one to love them and they think that is the way to go. But at the end, all they are doing is hurting themselves and even family members. Eric was telling us how they are killing each other and that is their way of life. That is very sad way to live. Not knowing who is around the corner and will I make it home tonight. It pretty much is all about the drugs. Our nation here is really hurting because of this and the real sad part is now other are getting hurt or even killed if they are the wrong area at the time. Folks we really have a big problem here with murders and just stupid nest. I know of people that will not even go out at night because of all that is going on. Last week I send out a warning on my blog about what the USA thinks about the Bahamas.
On the way home, which takes about 15 minutes, last night it took over 45. There was a fender bender in the round about at East Street and East/West Highway. You might not know this, but if you have a accident. You are not aloud to more your car until  police officer comes to check it out.

It really neat to watch our new school being built right here on the same property that the old school is standing.

This was the first part of putting up the walls (Oct. 29th) at our NEW WESTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL. Our Principal, Mr. Alfonso tells us that all of...
