See we all can get along?
There has been no real trouble with these two. The only time Scooby has a say is when he is eating. He might give out a yep.Jingles loves to jump on him and he just gets up and moves to the other side of the room. It is so neat to see how two different animals can live together. I am very blessed to have them both.

I have not writen or put in pictures?
This last week my camera stop working. Not sure why. But I have used it pretty much every day I have had it. I love taking pictures. So as it stands now, no pictures for a while. I will be going back in some pictures I have taken and not put o the blog.
Looking forward in this next month, I hope to be going to the other side of this pond that divides Fort Lauderdale and the Bahamas. I have not made my plan as of yet. But by Friday I will be setting them up for this next month. The reason is we still have people coming into the camp this next month.
Tim and his wife Mindy are here now. They are the new people to run it. But I don't want to just drop the ball and say Okay this is yours BYE. It will be a time to show and guide them. I want to make sure they are okay and it is smooth move.
So while back in the states I am looking forward in seeing some old friends and maybe buying some new tings. You know a New Camera.
I will keep you all in the loop and let you know soon.

Today the people here in New Providence, Bahamas, have a chance to vote on their future.
Legality and morality are normally roommates enjoying a cordial relationship. Most laws are derived from a moral platform. The Ten Commandments are regarded by many as the genesis of moral law and living. Today, it appears in the Bahamas that legality is preferred over morality. Morality has been labeled as too subjective or simply relative. Is morality been evicted from national discussions deemed progressive or evolutionary? The referendum is exposing a “Values War” with interesting subplots; Economics versus Ethics, Rights versus Responsibilities, Freedom of Religion versus Freedom from Religion and Social Policy versus Moral Philosophy. As someone said “It’s not what’s on stage that is worrisome; but what’s lurking in the shadows”
There are people presently advocating for the decriminalization of recreational marijuana use. Last year we witnessed Colorado and Washington passed bills to legalize marijuana for personal consumption. Uruguay’s government last year decided to produce and distribute marijuana to its citizenry under a state monopoly. In June 2011, we were advised that our Government agreed to support equal rights for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transsexual community at the United Nations Human Rights Council. These civil liberties are accepted and normalized in counties considered “enlightened”.
Don’t these civil liberties arguably possess equal merit like gambling? How do you discriminate against or among these lifestyle choices? Are some “hedging” on this referendum to breach the moral ethos of this country? Libertarians and Secularists aspire to purge our land of Christian values and replace them with moral neutrality. How can a nation progress been morally passive or ethically regressive? History recorded the honorable and venerable Carlton Francis who stood against “Gambling”. Did he suffer pastoral betrayal and political blacklisting for his moral stand? Are we watching the same plot unfold today? Is the preamble of the Bahamian constitution a statement or a standard to be upheld?
As one journalist commented “Human societies are fickle – norms are always changing. Who knows what will be acceptable in The Bahamas a century from now.” A “Vote Yes” campaign win will strengthen the call for further social secularization and inclusion. The referendum is viewed by some as simple and others as strategic. This is a defining moment for our nation. When future generations of the Bahamians reflect on this referendum will they do so with a sense of pride or the pangs of regret?
We have heard politicians admit to receiving donations from number houses, the commissioner of police admitted he has been far too tolerant with number houses and the number bosses openly flaunt their ill-gotten gains through prizes and sweep stakes. Discretionary authority vests within the judiciary and not the enforcement of the law. Selective law enforcement fertilizes the breeding and broadening of illegality. The “Yes Fest” highlighted how deep and far our culture has meshed with lawlessness. Lobbyists and apologists have articulated positions from liberty, equality and opportunity to justify the “Chance Culture”. Is this referendum about “abdication”? Have our leaders ceded their authority and duty to this sub-culture? We were once dubbed a “Nation for Sale” and with these recent admissions of political patronage and tolerant policing are we not legitimizing this stigma”?
Our young people are witnessing “criminal relativity”; if you have the financial wherewithal and propaganda machinery the law becomes “unenforceable” and you become “untouchable”. Has the government granted a “nolle prosequi” to the numbers industry? The late Sir Lynden and Sir Milo etched themselves into Bahamian history by throwing the hour glass and mace out of the House of Assembly. Are we witnessing leaders throwing “values” out the house as well? The referendum presents multiple choices on games of chance that are certain to impact our future. What overarching philosophical perspective will prevail; parity, profit, politics or principles? The stakes have never been higher. Choose wisely, free will comes with a “bill”.

Heart Attacks and water, Thank you Uncle Willard for this.
How many folks do you know who say they don't want to drink anythingbefore going to bed because they'll have to get up during the night!!
Heart Attack and Water - I never knew all of this ! Interesting.......
Heart Attack & Water
Something else I didn't know ... I asked my Doctor why do people need tourinate so much at night time. Answer from my Cardiac Doctor =
Gravity holds water in the lower part of your body when you are upright(legs swell). When you lie down and the lower body (legs and etc.)seekslevel with the kidneys it is then that the kidneys remove the water becauseit is easier. This then ties in with the last statement!
I knew you need your minimum water to help flush the toxins out of yourbody, but this was news to me.
Correct time to drink water... Very Important. From A Cardiac Specialist!
Drinking water at a certain time maximizes its effectiveness on the body:2 glasses of water after waking up - helps activate internal organs
1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion
1 glass of water before taking a bath – helps lower blood pressure
1 glass of water before going to bed – avoids stroke or heart attack
Please pass this to the people you care about......
I can also add to this... My Physician told me that water at bed time willalso help prevent night time leg cramps. Your leg muscles are seekinghydration when they cramp and wake you up with a Charlie Horse.Subject: FW: Mayo clinic aspirin Good information.
Subject: Mayo Clinic on Aspirin - PASS IT ON
Mayo Clinic Aspirin Dr. Virend Somers, is a Cardiologist from the Mayo Clinic, who is lead author of the report in the July 29, 2008 issue of the Journal of theAmerican College of Cardiology.
Most heart attacks occur in the day, generally between 6 A.M. and noon. Havingone during the night, when the heart should be most at rest, means thatsomething unusual happened. Somers and his colleagues have been working fora decade to show that sleep apnea is to blame.
1. If you take an aspirin or a baby aspirin once a day, take it at night. The reason:Aspirin has a 24-hour "half-life"; therefore, if most heart attacks happen in the
wee hours of the morning, the Aspirin would be strongest in your system.
2. FYI, Aspirin lasts a really long time in your medicine chest for years, (when itGets old, it smells like vinegar).
Please read on.
Something that we can do to help ourselves - nice to know.
Bayer is making crystal aspirin to dissolve instantly on the tongue.
They work much faster than the tablets.
Why keep Aspirin by your bedside? It's about Heart Attacks -
There are other symptoms of a heart attack, besides the pain on the left arm. OneMust also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots ofsweating; however, these symptoms may also occur less frequently.
Note: There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack.
The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep didnot wake up.
However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.
If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallowthem with a bit of water.
Afterwards: - Call 911. - Phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by.
- Say "heart attack!" - Say that you have taken 2 Aspirins. - Take a seat on a chair or
sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and ...DO NOT LIE DOWN!
A Cardiologist has stated that if each person after receiving this e-mail, sends it to10 people, probably one life could be saved!
I have already shared this information. What about you?
Do forward this message. It may save lives!
"Life is a one time gift"
We ran into some trouble on Tuesday.
While taking the Taylor group back to the airport, the rear driver's side brake caliper gave way. What happen we think, was the brake pads were worn out pretty much. While I was driving along on Cowpen Road, there is a short turn. Mean while a tractor trailer was coming around the bend. I saw it and pushed hard on the brakes and they blew out. I used the emergency hand brake. We made it around the corner and stopped. I went out and saw the problem, the caliper was blowing out brake fluid. So I called to the Centre and asked for Tim Ryan. I knew there really was no one else around at that time. We had three classes going on. So I asked Tim to drive the Ocean bus out to us and take the students to the airport. It took two trips. But over all every one made it there and really no problems. Mean while I drove the Solar bus back very slowly using the emergency hand brake.
So now you can see what happen. The brake pads were down to nothing. So Wednesday Bob and I took the brakes apart and found out we needed a new caliber and pads. It really was not to hard to repair. Plus we replace the pads on the other side too. Every thing seems okay now. We drove it around a little and all is well again.
Just a note, while driving back with the emergency hand brake, I was thanking our Lord for the save stop and thanking Him for the times I have been driving. Just think if I was driving down one of the bridges that go over or back from Paradise Island, if those brakes gave out then, what could have happen? I praise Him even more this day. He is in complete control, Thank you Jesus.

Whie at the ibrary we heard that Robert F Kennedy Jr. was speaking at 11am on Climate Change
It is so neat to see how our Lord set things in motion. If you have been following my blog you can see what these students have been studying? Yes it is a class called EMS 170-Small Island Sustainability it is 4 credits for this one course. If you read the first picture of Mr Kennedy you will see what he was talking about: Climate Change and its effects on small island developing states(sids) He is one of the most well known attorney on Natural Resources Defense Council. He has been dealing with big business that have pollution problems. Him and others have started a non profit organization called Waterkeepers Alliance. Back in the early 70's Hudson River was under attack. So Mr Robert looked into how to get the river back to the people that used it for fishing and other things. At that time a oil pipe line was dumping into the Hudson River. They found out that there was law in the books back in 1800;s that said the water ways are for the people not for business. Then he started River Keepers. Then move on to helping many other rivers and water ways through out the world. This Water keepers has been around now for 40 years.
While Mr. Robert shared about how bad our reefs are becoming with oil and other pollutions that are killing them. Our main problem is our electric company polluting a place called Cifton Pier. It is so neat how he explained all this and we were there this last Monday and saw the oil and even smelled it in the air while down near the water.
How to stop it? Well we need to tell our MPs.here and show that this really is a problem and if we don't do anything this area will be died in a couple of years. Really was a eye opener to see and then hear about it.
If you look up Waterkeepers Alliance you can see all the neat things they are trying to do to protect our water ways.
Had a chance to see our new library here in the Collage of the Bahamas
It was a show about the 46th Anniversary of Majority Rule Exhibition. So as the students had a chance to see all the new papers articles. Looking around this library is really well done.
Yesterday we went to a church called NPCC
This church is a place I have visited before. Their name is New Providence Community Centre. As a group we had the chance to walk around and see all they are doing for the area. Matthew is the teaching pastor. He was telling us all about how this community is in need to recycling and just letting the people know about how it would be a big help down the road. Plus he was saying how much they are trying to work along side other areas to make our island a better place o live.
The teaching was pretty good. One of the other pastor tautgh. I am sorry but I think his name was Todd. The teaching was on 1 Samuel 18:1-4 plus many other verses in Samuel about how Jonathan was willing to help David out with all that was going on. The message was What Do You Have In Your Bag? He was showing us about all we have and is it good to have? Plus what we should carry in our bag. I am sorry but I didn't write down all the verses he was sharing. He spoke of Accountable, Relayabilly, Risk and there was like 6 different areas he went with. Like I said I enjoyed it. There is just a couple of things I am not sure the way they do it?
Over all, talking with the kids they enjoyed it very much too. I think the neat part of all that we heard was about how the church is working to help the community. That is why these students are here to see how a nation as our selves are trying to fix and make our world here a better place. Plus the future, what we need to do to fix tings here so our children's children will have a future to call this island their home. If you look at all the places we have been, it really has been a eye opener for me to see that our nation is really trying to save this place and the ways we can do it. These students are here to study what and how we are trying to make a future for our kids. I really think these students have learned a lot and will be helping in other tings when they get back to their own world again.
Today we are going to the Collage of The Bahamas. Hope to see what they are doing to help our nation too.

Think about this very time you urn on your wipers
THOMAS KINCADE AND HIS DAUGHTER
Out of the mouths of babes...
I will think of this revelation every time I turn on my windshield wipers.
I
hope the rain shows in the picture! It's awesome if it does! The
message is awesome, too. You must forward the email to save the picture !
One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of the main streets of
town, taking those extra precautions necessary when the roads are wet
and slick. Suddenly, my daughter, Aspen , spoke up from her relaxed
position in her seat. "Dad, I'm thinking of something."
This announcement usually meant she had been pondering some fact for a while, and was now ready to expound all that her six-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear.
"What
are you thinking?" I asked. "The rain," she began, "is like sin, and
the windshield wipers are like God wiping our sins away."
After the chill bumps raced up my arms I was able to respond. "That's really good, Aspen."
Then
my curiosity broke in. How far would this little girl take this
revelation? So I asked.. "Do you notice how the rain keeps on coming?
What does that tell you?" Aspen didn't hesitate one moment with her
answer: "We keep on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us."
I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on.
Isn't it distressing to know that when you forward this message you
will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure
what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to
them. Funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of
me than what God thinks of me.
In order to see the rainbow, you must first endure some rain!

This is a veiw from the 9th floor room.
This room is going to have guest in it that night. This place cost $1500.00 a NIGHT? The guy that is talking with us is the one that over sees the guest as they check in and get their rooms. He asked us while there not to touch anything or even move something. The reason they would have to clean the room again, if it was not left correctly. Plus he was telling the students about the Atlantis it self. How and what happens here. It really was a good time to ask questions. I was only there for about 10 minutes, I had to go get the bus so we would be able to leave around 12:30pm. That didn't happen, they got out at 1pm. No big problem. The next place I took them was the Bahamas Trust on Village Road. There they spent about 31/2 hours talking with them.
Just think of what $1,500.00 can buy? That is just for the room, No Food or anything else.
This is called the Fish Hospital
It really is not the hospital, but the pace where they keep the new born until they are ready to go into the big tank. It really is neat how this place is so much on top of all that is needed to run this place.
Hey I did ask, do the restaurants get their fish and lobsters from here ? She just laughed and said No.
This is the kichten that preps the food for all of the sea mamimals
The fish and tings, all get feed by them form this pace. There is a feeding at 9am and 3pm. On Monday they are not feed at all. this way they get to hunt for their own food during that day. This way if and when they release the fish back into the wild, they will survive. This was so much to take in at once, but really enjoyed it.
We had a tour of Altantis. That was so neat to see.
This is the first time since I have been in the Bahamas, that I ever had a full tour of this place. The pictures above are just the start. Do You See OUR SOLAR BUS IN FRONT OF THE GREAT ATLANTIS? Since I have ever been driving here, I have ever been able to pull in front of these doors. I have to drop every one off down the road and park away.
I still had to park some what away from here. But just to see our bus under the Atlantis front door? WOW. Okay now you see this place in the day time too.
The last picture is showing us a Queen Conch. She was showing her off. how big she was. See during the day you can get a tour with a glide and see a lot more they O show during the night time. The reason is it cost you $29.00 a person to see what we saw. I don't think they charged us that price? It really was nice time to so much more.
Thursday morning I think?
Okay, like I said, I think this is Thursday morning. I dropped them off at Bahamas Waste. There they had a chance to see how this company uses Bio Diesel. They use the grease from the restaurants here on the island. Plus add different tings to make is work. I really not sure, I dropped them off there, that is what one of the students told me.
Then they walked down Gladstone Road for about a 2 mile walk. They went to the Department of Agriculture. There they had a chance to sit and listen to a guy that over sees that dept. I know of him from Calvary Bible Church, that is where his family go to hear the Work from Pastor Lee. Okay back to what they saw and heard about. They walked in back to the pig farm that they have here. You can see the different kinds of pigs they have. The first one you see is HUGE He is one of the studs. It really was neat to see how they take care of them.
After that we al came home and relaxed.
