Calvary has come to help us. That is the 8th graders.

Yes the 8th graders from Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, Fl came in yesterday.(96) I explained to them about what we do here and then put them to work. Most of them were fence washers. You know, scrub the fences, that the birds do their ting on? It really needed it.
The five of the guys came with Kevin and I to burn the shrubs and old fencing that we took down about year or so. It really worked out pretty good. About 45 students did the work and the other went down to the beach and did some character building. Then after about 2 hours they switched. So in the back of the ALC now is some what cleaned up. Plus the fences are looking good too. There was around 5 students painting too, after the cleaning. So over all was a day to say did well.
You will be seeing them again later on. Today (Sunday) they will be going to a church here called Global. This is the church Pastor Chet asked for them to go to. We were scheduled to go to Calvary Bible, but at the last tings change.
Tomorrow they (45)will be working along side a school here called Adaliade 1,4,6 graders will be coming to the ALC for a fun day. The staff and students will be putting on a show for them and then taking them back around 2pm. Then they will go to another school called Garvin Tymes 1-6 grades. They will help some of the students do home work and just have some fun with them. Then the next day we switch groups. You know flip flop.
Then Tuesday the 2,3,5 graders come and do it again. So this will go on until Wednesday and this group flies out and the next group comes in.
At Calvary Chapel Academy, Fort Lauderdale, Fl In the 8th grade, there are 158 students +. So we can only hold around 80 to 90 people at a time, here at the ALC camp. So Wednesday we flip flop the students. I think the leaders are here until.
So we at ALC are very blessed to have them come and stay here with us.
Like I said I will try to get more pictures of them, while here. You know working and doing tings are my main purpose of being here.
Last night my son came and told me that he found a leak in pipe that goes to the Camp House. So tomorrow I will be digging that up and repairing it. Folks I am here for His work and some days are a little more than others. So please keep us ALL in prayer during this next week or so. Having 96 students and leaders can be a challenge. Plus PLEASE keep in prayer for the buses and drivers. They will be driving the students around the island. Plus more request, that everything we start, we finish well. Keep in touch. Love to hear form you too. toms@alcbahamas.org
