Last night, Saturday, I went to pick up the Taylor group at someone house. On the way back I saw how much traffic there was going back to the hotel. So I dissided to go another way back. Driving up East Street just pass Solider. The Ocean bus stopped running. I tried to start it, but it acted like the fuel pump went out. I looked at the fuel gauge and it said 1/2 tank. I looked at all the fuses and checked out what I know to do. Still will not start. Mean while a friend of our at the centre, Mr Knowels (welder that help us on the train last week) Stopped and ask what is the problem? I told him not sure. NOW is our Lord GOOD OR what? Mr Knowels tells me that he has 55 gal drum on the back of his truck. Would I like to give that a try? I asked how will we get it into the tank. He tells me he has a 5 gal pail plus a heater hose. Well here we go, I siphon out of the 55 drum to 5 gal. Then siphon it into our bus. GUESS WHAT. It started up. I didn't have to bleed the lines or anything. It started up and ran great. Now mean while I called Jon from the Camp. Asked him to come with the other bus (Jungle) He showed up and I had everyone get off the Ocean bus and get on the Jungle bus. I had Jon take the Ocean bus to get fuel. I drove the Taylor group to their hotel and got home around 11:30pm.
ALL I CAN DO IS SAY THANK YOU LORD. Why did I drive the long way to the hotel? Why would Mr Knowels have 55 drum of diesel on his truck? Why would the bus just start up? If you say I am Lucky? NO NOT AT ALL IT WAS HIS DOING AND IF YOU DON'T SEE THAT? I really not sure what rock you have been living under.
Please people say a couple of prayers for this group leaving today, (Calvary). They will be cleaning this place up and be gone by 2pm. Taylor comes in around 2:30pm. They are spending their day with other Taylor people and going to different churches too. Next week I will driving them around with our new Camp guy, Tim. Please say a prayer or two for them too. They fly in on Wednesday.
I would love to read your story on how God shows up. Please e mail them to me and I would love to share them with others. toms@alcbahamas.org
