We ran into some trouble on Tuesday.

While taking the Taylor group back to the airport, the rear driver's side brake caliper gave way. What happen we think, was the brake pads were worn out pretty much. While I was driving along on Cowpen Road, there is a short turn. Mean while a tractor trailer was coming around the bend. I saw it and pushed hard on the brakes and they blew out. I used the emergency hand brake. We made it around the corner and stopped. I went out and saw the problem, the caliper was blowing out brake fluid. So I called to the Centre and asked for Tim Ryan. I knew there really was no one else around at that time. We had three classes going on. So I asked Tim to drive the Ocean bus out to us and take the students to the airport. It took two trips. But over all every one made it there and really no problems. Mean while I drove the Solar bus back very slowly using the emergency hand brake.
So now you can see what happen. The brake pads were down to nothing. So Wednesday Bob and I took the brakes apart and found out we needed a new caliber and pads. It really was not to hard to repair. Plus we replace the pads on the other side too. Every thing seems okay now. We drove it around a little and all is well again.
Just a note, while driving back with the emergency hand brake, I was thanking our Lord for the save stop and thanking Him for the times I have been driving. Just think if I was driving down one of the bridges that go over or back from Paradise Island, if those brakes gave out then, what could have happen? I praise Him even more this day. He is in complete control, Thank you Jesus.
